November 22, 2010 – Jardin de los Ninos a community outreach program in the Las Cruces area that focuses on homeless and near-homeless children and their families was supported by the United States Marshals Service. Over the past two weeks, United States Marshals Service employees assigned to the Las Cruces office collected gifts for Jardin de los Ninos. Deputy Marshals ensured that at least fifty children from the Las Cruces area will be able to open up Christmas gifts.
November 18, 2010 – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) sponsored by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) arrested two fugitives this morning. Eddie Garza (also known as Eddie Medel) was wanted on a State Parole Warrant and Larry Solis was wanted on a Federal Warrant.
November 18, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, joined by Sheriff David Clarke of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, John Chisholm of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office and United States Attorney James Santelle, announced the culmination of a three day operation designed to locate and arrest sex offenders known to be out of compliance with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry (SOR) and federal Adam Walsh Act requirements, The operation was conducted in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
November 17, 2010 – U.S. Marshals led fugitive Task Force Operation Intercept located and arrested Willie Jermaine Taylor in Greenville, SC on Tuesday, November 16th. Taylor has outstanding warrants for the alleged charges of: Murder, Burglary in the First Degree, Kidnapping, Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime stemming from an incident on October 18th in Traveler Rest, SC.
November 16, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and Nancy McNamara, Special Agent in Charge for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Milwaukee Division, announced the arrest of Arthur Lopez Jr.. The only alleged member of a notorious family drug ring in Milwaukee that had evaded arrest for eleven years was taken into custody last night by the Mexican Agencia Federal de Investigacion (AFI) in Monterrey, Mexico. As AFI investigators were closing in on Lopez, he surrendered to the U.S. Consulate.
November 15, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of Stewart Creekmore. Creekmore, had escaped from the Montgomery County Jail in Mount Sterling, Kentucky on October 8, 2010. He had been awaiting trial on a charge of Homicide, and had been in custody since August 13, 2010.
November 15, 2010 – Individuals wanted for non-violent misdemeanor crimes in Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla Counties will soon have the chance to turn themselves in at a local church, where they may receive favorable consideration on their open warrants. A Congressionally-authorized United States Marshals Service initiative known as Fugitive Safe Surrender will take place Wednesday, December 8th, through Saturday, December 11th, at the Bethel AME Church, located at 501 West Orange Avenue in Tallahassee, Florida.
November 13, 2010 – On November 12, 2010, the cooperation between of multiple law enforcement agencies working together brought alleged killer Patrick Ryon to justice after 30 years. The United States Marshals Service along with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, New Mexico Department of Corrections and Albuquerque Police Department arrested Patrick Ryon on a warrant for first degree murder and sexual assault.
November 10, 2010 – A team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals arrested a major fugitive wanted by Florida authorities today in Knoxville, Iowa. Jason Phillip Haikey was being sought on warrants issued in Orlando, Orange County, Florida charging him with attempted murder and armed robbery. The charges stemmed from Haikey and another man, Mark Ward, allegedly shooting a third man during a robbery attempt in Orlando in October. The victim survived, and Ward was arrested by local authorities in Florida shortly after the shooting.
November 10, 2010 – U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe of the Northern District of California announced today the extradition of Paul Anthony Sayno Trinidad. Trinidad is a former officer of the US Army. He is a person of interest for child molestation charges in the county of Latvia since 2008.
November 09, 2010 – U. S. Marshal Don O’Keefe of the Northern District of California announced the arrest of Maureen Graney. On November 9, 2010 Graney 32, was arrested for custodial interference in Dublin California. During the arrest, investigators located the missing son who has been listed as an endangered missing person from Jasper County, Indiana since July 2010.
November 09, 2010 – The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSRFTF), working in conjunction with investigators from the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) in Pensacola, FL arrested Elmer Omar Bonilla in California on a warrant charging him with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Minor and Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor.
November 05, 2010 – The United States Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announced the arrest today of Monday Lee Demarsh, 36, of Monticello, Florida for the offense of Homicide. Demarsh was currently being sought by the Lakeland Police Department outside of Tampa, Florida after law enforcement officers developed probable cause that Demarsh was responsible for the death of his live-in girlfriend.
November 05, 2010 – On 11/04/2010, Jeffrey Portis, eluded arrest by assaulting two Springfield Township Police officers with a Taser. One week earlier, Portis led the Cincinnati Police Department on a wild chase in the West End neighborhood, which resulted in him being bit by a police K-9. Portis, who was originally wanted for Contempt of Court and Failure to Comply, faces charges for Assaulting a Police Officer, Burglary, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction of Justice after his latest run-ins with the law.
November 04, 2010 – Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force captured Justin Wasinger, 21, at a residence in Mesa, AZ. On October 31, 2010, a warrant was issued by the Arapahoe County District Court for the arrest of Justin Wasinger. Wasinger is wanted by the Glendale, Colorado Police Department for First Degree Kidnapping, Assault in the Second Degree, Robbery, False Imprisonment and Conspiracy.
November 04, 2010 – The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested wanted sex offender Robert Smith today in San Antonio, TX. Fugitive Robert Smith was wanted in both Florida and New Mexico for Sex Offender Registration Violations.
November 04, 2010 – The United States Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force announced the arrest today of Donnie Tubbs, 35, of Matthews, Missouri for the offenses of Escape and Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.
November 04, 2010 – In cooperation with its local and state law enforcement partners, the U.S. Marshals Service recently conducted Operation “Not In My County” across southern Idaho to verify that known sex offenders from the Idaho Sex Offender Registry were living at the residences where they are registered and to arrest wanted sex offenders and other violent offenders.
November 04, 2010 – U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force (OPIN), Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested Romeo Brown and Deshawn Powell this morning in Orangeburg, SC. Both are wanted for separate Murder Warrants issued by Orangeburg County.
November 03, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of Robert Kinjerski today in Greenfield.. Kinjerski was featured on ‘Wisconsin’s Most Wanted’ on WITI – Channel 6 in Milwaukee on Oct. 30.
November 03, 2010 – U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested alleged Child Rapist Anthony Simpson in Elmira, New York. Simpson was being sought on multiple warrants from authorities in Lackawanna County.
November 02, 2010 – U.S. Marshal Michael R. Regan announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested Homicide suspect Kenneth Randolph in Harrisburg, PA. Randolph was being sought on an arrest warrant, dated October 9, 2010, and signed by Magisterial District Judge Marsha Stewart in Harrisburg.
November 01, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Police Chief Edward A. Flynn, and Milwaukee District Attorney John T. Chisholm, announced the arrest of Thomas Thornhill Jr.. Thornhill had been charged in Milwaukee County with the sexual assault of a 9 year old child that occurred in 2010.
November 01, 2010 – On October 29, approximately 30 personnel from the United States Marshals Service and Darlington County Sheriff’s Office conducted Operation Trick or Treat, an initiative to ensure registered sex offenders are residing in their documented homes and compliant with the rules set forth for South Carolina sex offenders.
October 29, 2010 – This Halloween, the United States Marshal Service, District of New Mexico, will be teaming up with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department and State of New Mexico Probation and Parole Office to conduct Registered Sex Offender address verification, house checks, and random patrol. The Marshal’s Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force will be all over the state of New Mexico, from the Albuquerque metro area to Las Cruces, NM.
October 28, 2010 – The United States Marshals Service, working with the Pennsylvania State Police Megan’s Law Unit and communities throughout the Middle District of Pennsylvania (M/PA), conducted Operation SAFE TREATS. The operation was developed to help ensure the safety of children as they “trick-or-treat” for Halloween.
October 26, 2010 – The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force is asking for help in locating a man wanted for Obstruction of an Investigation by Tampering with Evidence of a Human Corpse and who is a suspect in a woman’s murder in Texas. Police and the U.S. Marshals in Houston, TX are searching for convicted killer Dennis Ray Anderson, 64, after a Crime Stoppers tip led authorities to find a woman’s body in a barrel at his Houston-area home last Thursday.
October 26, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrests of brothers Jesus Ramirez and Angel Escajeda. Jesus Ramirez was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violations of his parole, after having been convicted of Abduction.
October 26, 2010 – Kevin A. Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the arrest of Trenell Scott. Trenell Scott was wanted by the Milwaukee Police Department for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Battery, and Intimidation of a Victim.
October 25, 2010 – Deputy U.S. Marshals (DUSMs) and Task Force Officers (TFOs) from the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans joined Amplify Resources, Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Troopers from the Louisiana State Police (LSP) to kick off Red Ribbon Week with a festival held at Heritage Park in Slidell, Louisiana. Red Ribbon week began as a memorial for fallen DEA agent Enrique Camerena, who was killed in the line of duty while fighting the Mexican drug cartel in 1985 and is part of a national campaign that focuses on awareness and prevention of misuse or illegal use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
