Border Patrol agents seized more than 15,464 pounds of marijuana, 263 pounds of cocaine, and 11 pounds of heroin. Agents arrested 12 criminal aliens and 14 gang members. There were two rocking incidents.

Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Laredo, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction in the state of Illinois for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor and had been previously removed from the United States. 

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Pisinemo, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had prior convictions in the state of California for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and attempted rape. Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens from Mexico near Queens Well, Arizona. During processing, one of the subjects was identified as a member of the 18th Street gang, and the other was identified as a member of the South Central Wild Boyz gang. Records checks revealed that one of the subjects had a prior conviction for attempted robbery, and both subjects had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,240 pounds of marijuana and a Dodge pickup truck near Fronton, Texas. Agents observed several subjects load bundles of suspected narcotics into the truck and abscond into Mexico. A search of the abandoned vehicle uncovered the marijuana.

San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 740 pounds of marijuana, a panga boat, and arrested three nationals of Mexico near San Clemente, California.

Tucson Sector РBorder Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Douglas, Arizona. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Sure̱o 13 gang and records checks revealed he had been previously removed from the United States.

Del Rio Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 263.75 pounds of cocaine and a Ford truck, and arrested a national of Mexico at the traffic checkpoint near Eagle Pass, Texas. The subject presented herself for inspection and a service canine alerted to the vehicle. A non-intrusive inspection was conducted and discovered anomalies inside of an item being transported in the bed of the truck. A search by agents revealed 100 bricks of cocaine concealed within the item.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. The subject admitted to being a member of the 18th Street gang. He had tattoos affiliated with the gang and records checks indicated that he had been previously removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. Records checks revealed that the subject was a Paisas gang member and had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents rescued five illegal aliens from Mexico near Falfurrias, Texas. The subjects called 911 and advised the local sheriff’s office that they were lost. U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Air and Marine air assets located the subjects, and Border Patrol agents took them into custody. No medical attention was needed.

San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 11.1 pounds of heroin and a Dodge Durango, and arrested a United States citizen (USC) at the traffic checkpoint near Jamul, California. A service canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search by agents revealed the heroin concealed in the engine manifold.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,365 pounds of marijuana and a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Westmorland, California. The subject presented himself for inspection and a service canine alerted to the trailer. A non-intrusive inspection revealed anomalies within the cargo. Further inspection by agents revealed bundles of marijuana concealed within a load of watermelons.

Marfa Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien in the brush near Sierra Blanca, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had two warrants of arrest out of Dallas, Texas, for a probation violation in connection with a charge of indecency with a minor and felony possession of a controlled substance.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico during a vehicle stop near Odem, Texas. Records checks revealed that the subject was convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact and had been previously removed from the United States.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras near Lukeville, Arizona. Record checks revealed the subject was convicted of cruelty toward a child in Miami, Florida, and had been previously removed from the United States.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in the brush near Douglas, Arizona. Records checks revealed that the subject was convicted of sexual battery in Calaveras, California, and had been previously removed from the United States.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in the brush near Naco, Arizona. Records checks revealed that the subject was convicted of sexual intercourse with a minor in Santa Ana, California.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents assisted local police in arresting a USC while working with a Federal task force near Minot, North Dakota. The local police department requested assistance in locating a vehicle that fled from police at a high rate of speed. Border Patrol agents located the crashed vehicle. While taking the subject into custody, the subject punched an agent in the face. Agents were able to subdue the subject, who was taken into custody without further incident.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 10,250 pounds of marijuana and a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Sarita, Texas. A service canine alerted to the trailer and a subsequent search by agents revealed bundles of marijuana concealed in a load of broccoli.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a group of 57 illegal aliens in the brush near Abram, Texas. The aliens were nationals of India, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Ecuador.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador in the brush near La Grulla, Texas. The subject admitted to being an active member of the Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) gang and was previously removed from the United States.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject has an arrest warrant in Hartley County, Texas, for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject was a member of the Spanish Disciples prison gang and had been previously removed from the United States.

Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Freer, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Houston, Texas and had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two USCs and rescued 15 illegal aliens from Mexico that were traveling inside of a U-Haul truck at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A service canine alerted to the vehicle and agents discovered the people concealed in the trailer. No medical attention was needed.

Tucson Sector РBorder Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Guatemala near San Miguel, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was a member of the 13th Street Sure̱o gang and had been previously removed from the United States.

Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Guatemala while conducting a freight train check near Bruni, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject was convicted of forcible rape of a minor in Baltimore, Maryland, and had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents rescued an illegal alien from Mexico after being contacted by a local rancher regarding a person in distress near Encino, Texas. The subject was exhibiting symptoms of severe dehydration and passing in and out of consciousness. The local Emergency Medical Services was contacted and transported the subject to a local hospital for treatment.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,869 pounds of marijuana and a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle near Abram, Texas. Agents observed several subjects loading bundles of what appeared to be a controlled substance into the vehicle. When agents approached, the subjects fled into Mexico. A subsequent search of the abandoned property confirmed that the bundles contained marijuana.
