We also want to look at some very practical steps for Christians. Like most people, there are some things that we do well and some things we do less well. One thing I hope that we do well is getting the truth out about Islam. With Shahram’s background as a former Muslim and my background in missions we have a good understanding of the issues of Islam and the political issues our nation is facing. People turn to our program to understand why Muslims do what they do. We go to the source of the problem. We need to understand that many Muslims do what they do because it is a commandment from their god and the example set by their Prophet. The violent things we see around the world show the true face of Islam. Shahram has come out with a new 3 hour DVD which is a great source of information on Islam. It is called “The True Face Of Islam.” I have heard a commercial by a drugstore that says “You’ll find us at the corner of happiness and health.” I thought that was a catchy phrase and it got me thinking, where will people find us at Fortress of Faith? I believe you will find us at the corner of Truth and Courage. It is one thing to know the truth, and it is another to have the courage to stand for it. We hear people say that they are thankful there are people who have the courage to tell the truth. We are thankful for those who say such things because it is an encouragement to us. My question is, why don’t you have courage to speak up also. One reason that many don’t speak up is that they don’t have the information. Listening to our broadcasts and going to our website will help you, but we want to put things in your hands that can be of further help to you. We want to help you go from being a hearer, to being a doer. Another reason we don’t see more people standing up for truth is that there is a lack of leadership. Within Christian churches there is a lack of leadership because many pastors are afraid. In the past we have looked at why pastors and other Christian leaders won’t stand up. Courage is supposed to be contagious. Joshua was told several times to be strong and courageous and we should also follow this admonition, especially in these difficult times. God has given us a land of freedom but we are losing it rapidly. We need leaders with the courage to stand up and fight to take back ground that we have lost. The only way we can do that is to be courageous, armed with the truth, and engaged with the enemy. First we need to be armed with the truth. We must educate ourselves. We have to have the knowledge when we talk to people because the enemy will push back. When they can’t argue with the facts, they will resort to name calling and attacking the messenger. We must have the courage to stand in the face of this type of attack. Today we will give you some practical steps to engage the enemy, particularly on the issue of Islam. The principles will apply to other things as well. Part of the spiritual condition of our nation is seen in the fear of man that is so evident in our churches. God has removed His hand of blessing and protection from our nation because we fear man more than God. This is a form of rejection of God. A major theme among Christians today is unity. We don’t want to let things divide us so we overlook important issues and just talk about the things we have in common. The Bible clearly teaches that darkness and light, evil and righteousness, have nothing in common. There is a lot of confusion in Christian circles. It seems that the most popular churches and ministries don’t want to rock the boat. Listen to what Jesus had to say about unity:
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Matthew 10:34-35 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. Luke 12:51-52Why don’t we hear these passages preached? It is not popular to preach this kind of thing. There is to be division between truth and error. We don’t need to be mad and angry with everyone, but we do need to speak the truth in love and earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. Let’s call things what they are. We have developed a bunch of cowards to lead us, both spiritually and politically. In my book “Refuting Islam,” I mention a study done by Barna Research that asked pastors across America if the Bible speaks to the political issues of our day. Nine out of ten pastors said that it does. The next question asked if they speak about them, and nine out of ten of them said no, they don’t. This tells us that we have cowards in our pulpits. One of the reason we have cowards in the pulpits is because we have cowards in the pews. They are hiring pastors who won’t rock the boat or step on their toes. The Bible says:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6How many of today’s pastors refuse to engage the issue of Islam? They refuse to invite people like us in to educate their people on the issue. They think our message is too controversial and too confrontational. My book and Shahram’s DVD bring factually based, Islamic sourced, information to educate people. When I talk to law enforcement and spiritual leaders, it only takes a few minutes to understand that they have no knowledge about the subject. Once we give out the information, it is up to those who hear it as to what they do with it. Are we going to be people of courage and conviction, or are we going to let fear keep us from acting on what we learn? Too many elected officials, politicians and law enforcement, are more concerned with reelection than with doing what is right and necessary to protect us. The average Christian in the pew is afraid to confront his pastor on the subject. Who is going to do it if you don’t? We are afraid to confront our family members, but if we don’t, who will? We are not saying pick a fight. We are saying stand and communicate the truth. Once we are armed with the facts we must decide what we are going to do with them. We need to decide to stand for truth, no matter what the consequences may be!

Practical Steps To Engage EvilFirst we must be armed with the truth. To help you with this we have developed some resources that will help educate you. There is my book “Refuting Islam” and Shahram’s DVD “Unveiling The True Face of Islam.” In these resources we lay out all the evidence from Islamic sources. We use their own words to back up what we teach. Shahram’s DVD pulls back the veil and show Islam for what it really is. Tom’s book is subtitled “The Christian Patriot’s Guide to Exposing the Evils of Islam.” Both of these will give you irrefutable evidence from the mouths of Islamic leaders and scholars. One of the most powerful sources we use is the handbook of Shariah law called “The Reliance of the Traveller.” This book was compiled by the highest scholars in Islam and is accepted as the final authority by all schools of Islam. It defines their doctrine and quotes from the Islamic scriptures, the Qur’an and the Sunna. Using this source keeps Muslims from saying we are twisting their scriptures or taking it out of context. I teach which arguments to make, and what ground to stand on. I show the mistakes we usually make in confronting Islam. We have got to win this battle at the water cooler if we want to save our nation. Everyone has an opinion about Islam and they are not all correct. We must correct the misinformation and expose the deception that is being propagated on the subject of Islam.
We want you to join us at the corner of Truth and Courage. Knowing the truth is not enough, we must have the courage to stand for truth and expose error. If you call us at 1-800-616-0082 today you can order both my book and Shahram’s DVDSecondly determine to be a man of courage. If you don’t prepare your steps you will just drift about. Determine to stand even if it is not popular and is politically incorrect. Thirdly, don’t give into PC agenda. Don’t be guilty of self censorship. The whole politically correct movement is about getting us to censor ourselves and not stand up for the truth. We are not to be mean or deliberately abrasive in what we say, but we are to speak the truth in love. Something that has served me well over the years is “Your are seldom persuasive when you are abrasive.” Isn’t it interesting that the liberal PC people demand tolerance from us, but they have no tolerance for us. The moment you disagree with them they show their intolerance for an opposing view. One of the reasons they want us to keep silent is that they don’t have good arguments. Usually those who don’t have good arguments attack the messenger because they can’t overcome the message. We don’t attack Muslims because we see them as victims of the ideology of Islam. Islam is an ideology masquerading as a religion. Muhammad was building an empire, not a religion. Religion was just a tool he used to control people and force them to submit to his authority. As citizens of America, we have no problem with Muslims saying their prayers, building their mosques, doing their charitable deeds, and worshiping their god. I do have a problem, as a Christian, because they are worshiping a false god. But, as a Christian, I will die for their right to worship the god of their choice. We need to understand that the first 300 pages of the Shariah law book deals with the religious aspects of Islam. It is the next 400 plus pages that we have a problem with. These deal with the government of Islam. This is what we need to attack because it is diametrically opposed to our laws and culture. To try to shut us up, the PC police and the left wing politicians and media often use the phrase, “That is un-American.” I like the way Ted Cruz responded to this. He said, “You mean it is un-American to protect my family?”

There is a reformed Islam, but it is a perversion of the real Islam, the Islam that has been practiced since the time of Muhammad. Reformed Islam has made up a god and a religion of their after their own imagination. Some Christians have done this with Christianity. Just like not all Christians are Bible Christians, not all Muslims are Qur’anic Muslims. The fourth step is don’t back down when lies are being spread about Islam. When they say “Radical Islam” correct them. What we see them doing is real Islam as it has been practiced for the last 1,400 years. Remember, radical means a departure from what is normal. Muhammad is the center point of Islam. He is the one that received the revelation from the angel. He is the great example to follow. To show people that violence is normal for Islam we need to show how Muhammad acted. Did he lie? Did he take child brides? Did he order those who leave Islam to be killed? Did he participate in the beheading of non-Muslims? The answer to all of these questions is, yes he did! When we see Islamic groups like ISIS doing these things they are following the true Islam of Muhammad. When they understand that they are following Muhammad they can’t say that the Islamic militants are perverting Islam. When they say Islam is peaceful don’t back down. Stand up an tell the truth. The first thing you need to do is define peace. In Islam peace is defined as every person being surrendered to Allah. When someone says Islam is a religion of peace ask them if they ever plan on converting and becoming a Muslim. If their answer is no, then they are not at peace with Islam because Islam says you are only at peace when you surrender to Allah and his law. When they point out the verses in the Qur’an that seem to teach peace you point out that those were written when Muhammad was in Mecca and had few followers. After he went to Median and built an army, those verses were abrogated, or superseded, by the later verses that command forced conversion or death. When they say that we have the same god, have the courage to tell them why this is not true. When a Muslim tries to tell you that we have the same god tell him, that’s great, so your god has a son. They will suddenly change their continence and say, “No, for Allah hath no son?” One of the most important doctrines of Islam is that Allah has no son. There is no God the Father, no God the Son, no God the Holy Spirit. Certainly, Jesus Christ is not God for Muslims. When they say Allah has no son we can say that we don’t have the same god. The God of Christianity has an “only begotten Son” whose name is Jesus. When they say we are all part of the “Abrahamic Faith” it is similar to saying we have the same god. The first response is that Islam was not around during the time of Abraham. Along with this, most Muslims are not Arabs. Arabs are a small percentage of the world’s Muslim population. If you are an Arab, you are a decedent of Abraham through Ishmael. If you are not an Arab, you are not. If most Muslims are not Arabs, the Islam is not an Abrahamic faith. In the Qur’an it teaches that Abraham was going to sacrifice Ishmael. The Qur’an flips the covenantal agreement from Isaac to Ishmael. Both of these cannot be true, and both cannot be of God. Islam and Christianity do not share an Abrahamic basis because Islam denies the Abrahamic covenant through Isaac. This is an important difference. It has to do with who is the Messiah. The covenant which brings the Messiah is through Isaac, not through Ishmael. If Islam is true, the Jesus is not the Messiah. Here is what the Bible says on the subject:
And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. Genesis 17:18-21It is very clear that God’s covenant with Abraham flows through Isaac. The sad thing is that when we hear that Islam and Christianity are Abrahamic is that it usually comes from Christians. How can Christians be so ignorant? If Islam is an Abrahamic faith, the covenant is broken, and we have nothing.

No church is too big or too small.Segment Four When someone quotes Surah 5:32 and tells us that Islam says that to kill someone is to kill all humanity, they are both misquoting the verse and taking it out of its context. Here is what the verse really says:
Surah 5:32 Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. They use this to say that Islam does not condone violence. You will notice that this verse is not talking to Muslims, it is talking to the Jews, the children of Israel. If a Jew kills someone for other than a just cause, it is as if the Jew had killed all of mankind. Look at what the next verse says:
Surah 5:33 Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,This verse is talking to Muslims. You can see from it that anyone who opposes Allah or Muhammad is to be killed, crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off. Another verse is one that says there is no compulsion in religion. The verse that says this has been abrogated by verses like Surah 9:29:
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled”They keep trying to tell us that Islam is not violent and that it does not force anyone to become a Muslim. It is and does so don’t let anyone tell you that Islam is not a violent religion. We will not win all of the arguments because some people don’t want the truth. It is our responsibility to give them the truth. It is there responsibility to decide what to do with it. The last practical step is, be proactive. We need to do more than just react to what is going on. We need to be moral activists. We need to be salt and light in this world. We need to encourage our churches, our friends, our coworkers, etc. to stand against what is happening in our nation. We need to stand for righteousness. This means that at election time we will vote for candidates who stand for what is right, not what is popular or convenient. It is sad, but about half of the evangelical Christians in America are not registered to vote. Who is registered to vote is public information. Pastors, you can check out who is, and who is not registered to vote in your church. My book gives you a website where you can get this information. You can, and should have registration drives in your church.
If you are not registered to vote, get registered. Then start voting for those who stand for righteousness at all levels of government. We cannot fix our nation from the top down. It will help to have a godly president, but if we are going to change this nation it must come from the bottom and move to the top. Remember, our government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. If you have a pastor who is a coward in the pulpit, don’t be a coward in the pew. Go to your pastor, with respect, and encourage him to stand for the things that are right. Let him know that you have his back if he takes a stand. He may not know what you know about these issues so take information with you when you go to him. Give him a copy of my book and/or Shahram’s DVD. Many of the doors that have been opened to us have come through courageous people going to their pastors and giving them the facts. One area where we can be active right now is on the refugee settlement program. Contact you state and local officials and let them know the dangers inherent in this program. Show the the facts concerning ISIS infiltration of this program. The other side of the situation is that if we are silent we will fail. We will loose our whole way of life. This brings me to the words of Dietrich Bonehoeffer: Silence in the face of evil is evil itself. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to Act. He was a pastor in Germany during the rise of Hitler. He took a stand against what was happening and we need to do the same today. It will cost to stand, but the alternative will cost more for us and our children. We must remember that freedom is not free. I am thankful for my freedom and for those who have stood for it in the past. I am thankful that I have the Word of God. We only have it because someone in history stood for it at the cost of their life. If I want my children and my grandchildren to have these things I must stand and fight for them today. I love the following quote from Edmund Burke: All that is necessary for the triumph for evil is for good men to do nothing. It is important that we have men and women of courage who will not sit around and do nothing. We need pastors in our pulpits who have the courage to stand for righteousness and to teach their congregations to do likewise. We all need to join together at the intersection of Truth and Courage. If we don’t Islam will take over our nation. In Europe there have been no people of courage who were willing to stand up and tell the truth. It may be too late for them, and I fear that the same thing may happen here. If you follow Fortress of Faith, you know that God has called me back to my country to warn you of the coming destruction. Our whole purpose is to inform you and encourage you to take a stand before it is too late. The materials we have made available to you are not for our profit. Their purpose is to equip you for the battle, and we are in a battle whether we want to admit it or not. You can get Tom’s new book and Shahram’s DVD by calling us at 1-800-616-0082. ]]>
