No one, not one Democrat would care what happened between Donald Trump and the Ukraine but for Joe Biden’s actions in 2014.
So let’s review a moment….
In 2014 did Joe Biden know he was going to run to be the President of the United States in 2020? Nope.
And what did Joe Biden do in 2014 that’s so important, he can tell you himself (I skipped to 16 seconds in since I am trying to just show the admission and nothing else, apologies to the video’s poster as I do appreciate the video being available but my effort is to not even discuss certain facts since the truth in all of this is even simpler than it appears),
So now what’s important here is this treaty that causes the Attorney General and the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to be the “Central Authority” for their respective nations on these matters, https://www.congress.gov/106/cdoc/tdoc16/CDOC-106tdoc16.pdf. Please see page 6 of the Letter of Transmittal portion of the linked PDF from President Bill Clinton’s office referring to Article 2 of the Treaty and Article 2 “Central Authorities” on page 13 of the linked PDF featuring the actual scans of pages of the Treaty.
This means it is a violation of the Constitution pursuant to Article VI, Clause 2, concluding that Treaties that support the Constitution are the Law of the land:

Joe Biden’s video of spontaneous statements he voluntarily made before the Council of Foreign Relations are his direct admission that while he was the sitting Vice President of the United States that Biden, abusing his authority as Vice President, demanded the President of Ukraine fire the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in 2014 for enforcing Ukraine law against a Ukraine Oligarch in a complete and utter disregard for the Sovereignty of Ukraine. As this is a Treaty violation it is therefore Joe Biden’s further admission he violated the Constitution of the United States.
Please also understand this is an act against American National Security as Russia is Ukraine’s enemy and appears to be trying to regain control of Ukraine lands, their people, and even their government (as is proven by Russia taking Crimea). Joe Biden’s admission of a quid-pro-quo by threat of withholding money from Ukraine on condition of firing the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in 2014 can easily make other country’s efforts (including Russia’s) to influence Ukraine’s Government work in these other country’s favor and not ours. It appears the escalation of corruption in Ukraine is proven by the election of Ukraine President Zelensky who promised to clean up the Ukraine, meaning this escalation of corruption occurred to the point of exhaustion of the Ukraine People when President Obama and his point man Joe Biden were managing America’s relations with Ukraine.
This is important because, again, it was 2014, Joe Biden had no idea he’s be running for President in 2020.
The point being that Donald Trump as President of the United States, as does every President since that Treaty was signed in 1998, has a duty to share information regarding criminal matters with Ukraine. This is of course primarily done through the Central Authorities mentioned, but also, by direct contact with the President of Ukraine in an effort to assure the terms of the variety of treaties we have with a country are upheld and any objections addressed between the offices of the signing principals to the Treaty.
Joe Biden in his boastful explanation of how he got the Prosecutor General of Ukraine fired, in violation of the Treaty and thereby our Constitution for the United States of America VOLUNTEERED (carried on an act of his own volition to which he is bragging about before the Council on Foreign Relations) to become a part of the information that our President and our Attorney General and the President and Prosecutor General of Ukraine must discuss because of what Joe Biden did in 2014. At no point does it appear Donald Trump was twisting Joe Biden’s arm to get something done in Ukraine, and it further appears Donald Trump had no relationship with Putin or influence on Joe Biden that caused Joe Biden to voluntarily act and do do what ended up Putin’s bidding in what appears a significant weakening of Ukraine’s government to corruption.
That Joe Biden is running for President and that his corrupt actions from 2014 are a part of an ongoing effort by President Trump to end corruption in Ukraine and having to pursue Joe Biden’s crime that invoked the 1998 Treaty provisions in 2019 is purely a matter of happenstance that Joe Biden knew or should have known may occur from his bragged about actions against Ukraine in 2014 in that Joe Biden has been the Vice President of the United States and that he appears to not have known or cared about sharing how he bribed the former President of Ukraine to fire Ukraine’s Prosecutor General suggests Biden doesn’t even truly care about his own family who is now in the middle of a situation where political debts will be owed for every effort made to cover up and hide Joe Biden’s corruption.

The Democrats wouldn’t even care one iota, one scintilla about President Trump and his phone call to Ukraine President Zelensky but for the fact Joe Biden took his bragged about proactive step in 2014 to violate the Treaty with Ukraine and thereby violate the Constitution of the United States of America, to which Joe Biden is now, as he’s not in office, entirely subject to criminal liability and prosecution, which may include anyone else involved. I am not sure if anyone testifying was involved at the time, however their statements suggest they are well involved now, that they want to act as a firewall to deny, as Ambassador Taylor put it, “Guiliani from getting information on the 2 Bidens.”
