Christians Surrendering by Appeasement: Silence is Consent!
There are some who will never surrender to Islam and there does seem to be some who are waking up to the danger of what we are facing. We are, however, seeing too many within Christianity, churches, missions organizations, and schools, that are surrendering by their action of appeasement. They don’t want to offend or upset Muslims because they think that if we do we will not be effective in reaching them for Christ.
If you follow Fortress of Faith you know that appeasement never works, and it never will. The ideology of Islam says that Islam is to be the dominant force in the world, both religious and secular. This is what they are taught in their scriptures and by their Prophet, Muhammad. It is foolishness to think that we can appease them.
There is no common ground between Islam and Christianity. Those who say there is are deceived by the god of this world. There is no way we can coexist with Islam, not because we are not willing to do so, but because Islam is not willing to do so.
In Shahram’s area there are supposedly Christian colleges that will not allow him to go on their campuses and no professor will sponsor him to go and speak on Islam. Remember, Shahram is a former Muslim and knows what Islam is all about. On the other hand, they will allow apologists for Islam to speak on the supposed tolerance and peaceful nature of Islam.
They call people like us islamophobes and accuse us of spreading fear and hatred toward Islam. This is what we find as we try to get the truth out about this diabolical ideology.
You might ask how Christians could ever surrender to Islam here in America. The main area of surrender is in our silence. We don’t speak out because we are afraid. Many pastors would never invite someone like Shahram and myself to come and explain to their congregations the facts concerning Islam, Islam’s basic teachings, and to lay out the evidence. They are afraid to touch this issue. They would rather be silent and push this issue under the rug, than stand up against error and be faithful servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This reminds me of Edmond Burk. He said something so wise:
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Not only are many Christians silent, if anyone speaks out against Islam they will start calling them names. The reason they resort to name calling is that they have no substance to their arguments. Those who quote portions of the Qur’an to try to defend their argument that Islam is a religion of peace have taken those verses clearly out of context.
When taken in Context, the teachings of the Qur’an and the Prophet, Muhammad clearly show the militancy of Islam. It is true that at the very beginning Muhammad tried to spread his religion peacefully. This is seen in some of the early passages of the Qur’an, but in Islam they have the doctrine of abrogation. This means that if there is a contradiction between two passages in the Qur’an, the more recent passage supersedes (or abrogates) the earlier passage.
For example, early in Muhammad’s teachings he said there is no compulsion in religion, no one should be made to believe one way or another. Later he said “Fight them who believe not.” In other words, if you are not following his religion then Allah has commanded jihad against you.
You can see that there is a contradiction between these two things. How does Islam deal with this type of situation, and there are many similar contradictions in the Qur’an? The command to fight against non-believers came after the command that there is no compulsion in religion, so it supersedes the idea that there is no compulsion in religion. This is true of all of the peaceful passages in the Qur’an.
Those who won’t allow someone to come and explain this, do so because they don’t want to face the reality that Islam really teaches evil. They don’t want to know because, if they do, they will be obligated before God to do something about it. Fear of offending, or fear of being ridiculed is the real issue.
Preachers have been deceived into thinking we cannot offend. In my early training for the ministry I went to a very sound Bible college. This college is drifting away from its roots and I am very concerned. Out side of this college there were influences like Rick Warren and Bill Hybles, who taught some very unbiblical things. Here are some of the things they taught:
- Don’t tell the lost what they are, tell them what they can be.
- Make the message positive.
- If you can learn to sell Jesus like soap you will build a big church.
- They said the Christian message is too negative.
This was from the people who were building the big churches. They said don’t call people sinners. People don’t want to go to church to feel guilty, was the mantra. The master of all of this was Robert Shuller. In 1987 he said:
I preach repentance so positively that most people don’t recognize it.
We can’t tell people they are sinners, we can’t tell them they are bound for Hell, and we take the same approach, saying we can’t offend Muslims.
If you don’t tell people they are sinners and bound for Hell, you are making false converts and not converting them to Christ. Sadly, some of these false converts are in the pulpits today. We have cowards in the pulpits because we have cowards in the pews. This is probably offending and raising the blood pressure of some of you who are reading this. Some are probably calling us things like hate mongers or even worse.
I came off the mission field to warn my home country to warn America of God’s judgment through Islam. We must be people of courage who are willing to stand up and speak the truth.
I believe that we can repent and turn things around in this nation. There are some pastors who are starting to move in the right direction because the danger is is becoming real to them.
In the last 6 months to a year it seems that we are getting more pastors who are willing to have us in and explain the issues with Islam. It is caused by the facts concerning Islam becoming real. It is not something that is off in the distance, it is in our backyards. The issue of refugee resettlement has become a big topic.
The problem is that those like Rick Warren and other leaders in our postmodern and post-Christian world have taught that we must be fluid and can’t be dogmatic about the Word of God. They believe we must remove the inerrancy of the Word of God and come to a place where we can be “culturally relevant.” As a result, they have given ground on so many things, like abortion , homosexuality, marriage, and so forth. Now they are giving ground on Islam.
Europe is all the evidence we need to look at inorder to see what happens when we follow this path. We can never give in on the issues of Islam.

We know that the Lord Jesus Christ and true Christianity will never surrender to Islam. We will see a little later that when Lord Jesus Christ does come back He will be dealing with Muslim nations and they will be the focus of the battle against Satan’s armies.
What Does Scripture Have To Say?
There are those who tell us we should not be offensive. They say that to be effective for Christ we must be amiable and get along with everyone, including Muslims. The Scriptures and Lord Jesus Christ have something quite different to say on the subject.
We need to be grounded in the Word of God and follow what it says rather than man’s opinion. Matthew Chapter 10 says:
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (Matthew 10:34-35)
The idea that we can’t offend anyone, and that we must get along with everyone has no biblical basis. Paul made it clear in his letter to the Christians in Rome that we should not be ashamed.
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Romans 9:33)
We must be bold and stand unashamedly for the truth. God tells us that the truth will be a stumblingstone for many and it will offend people.
Paul also made this clear in his first letter to the church at Corinth when he said:
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; (1 Corinthians 1:23)
The message will not always be popular.
Having lived so many of my years in Europe, I see the American touch on the Gospel here. Americans want something that sells well. We have to change the Gospel to make in less offensive so it will sell better. We were warned that there would be a day like this. Listen to what Paul said to Timothy:
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:2-4)
They will follow fables rather than hearing the truth. Their lusts will cause them to seek teachers who will scratch their itching ears. This really describes the days in which we live. This is exactly what is happening in most of the pulpits of America.
We need to remember that in this passage Paul is not talking about the lost of the world, he is talking about those who call themselves believers. It fits with what we see in Revelation Chapter 3 in the seventh letter to the pastors of the seven churches. We know that the church of the Laodiceans was a literal church in the first century. Today it would be in Turkey. We also know that this is a type of the churches of the last days just before the Tribulation.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:14-22)
God has nothing good to say about this church. He is ready to vomit it out of His mouth. He is standing outside this church, knocking at the door, and desiring to come in and dine with it. The door to this church is closed to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:20 is not a verse about evangelism as it is so often misused. It is a warning to the lukewarm churches. When we are lukewarm and have the Rick Warrens of this world putting together a peace plan we are in real trouble. When Rick Warren spoke at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA, a Muslim Brotherhood organization) conference about his PEACE Initiative, he was betraying the Lord Jesus Christ. We have heard Rick Warren and people from his church say that when they reach out to Muslims, they will not seek to evangelize them. They want to find peace and common ground so Christianity and Islam can get along.
These modern false prophets have abandoned the Great Commission. They would rather allow Muslims to go to Hell than offend them.
A moment ago we looked at Matthew Chapter 10. There is a parallel passage in Luke Chapter 12:
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (Luke 12:51-53)
When the Word of God comes, be it the written word of the Scriptures or the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, it does not bring peace and cause everyone to get along. It brings offense to some and it brings life to others. It causes division, and this is what many are afraid of. As a result they are teaching a false unity. They say that our greatest goal is unity, and we must ask, Unity in what? Unity in compromise? Unity in the rejection of the Word of God?
Paul says we must have unity of the Spirit, with the bond of peace. You can’t have peace without the unity of the Spirit, and you can’t have unity of the Spirit if you are grieving the Holy Spirit. When you compromise the Word of God you cannot help but grieve the Spirit because the Spirit is God.
Let’s look at some examples of this compromise or surrender.
First I want to look at something that happened at the Billy Ghrahm Center for Evangelism at Wheaton College. We are not sure if Wheaton College actually was really on board with what happened there, but it was hosted there. In December there was a meeting of over 100 supposedly evangelical leaders. It was facilitated by three major organizations, Lifeway Research, World Vision, and World Relief.
We have talked to you before about how the refugee program is about bringing all of these Muslims into America, resettling them, and believing that they will just get along with us. We have addressed how their agenda is counter to this.
After the meeting they came up with a declaration which claims to be the evangelical response to the refugee crisis. Here is some of what they said:
Refugees possess the image of God and, as such, are infinitely valuable to God and to us.
- We are commanded to love our neighbor, and it is our privilege to love refugees.
- As Christians, we must care sacrificially for the refugee, the foreigner, and the stranger.
- We will motivate and prepare our churches and movements to care for refugees.
- We will not be motivated by fear but by love for God and others.
- Christians are called to grace-filled and humble speech about this issue.
The most disturbing statement is:
We acknowledge that there are genuine security concerns and encourage governments to be stewards of safety, but we also observe that choosing to come to North America as refugees would be among the least effective ways for those who intend to do us harm.
This shows how little they understand about the problems with Islam. They are actually saying that bringing Muslims from the Middle East so they are actually in our country, is the least effective way for those who intend to do us harm. How foolish is it to believe that once they are here in our country they will not do us any harm. Do they really believe that it is more effective to do us harm from thousands of miles away than when they are standing on our soil?
Either those saying this are devoid of logic, which I doubt, or they are living in a fantasy world. The idea that if we just show them love and compassion and give them the shirts off our backs they will love us and get along with us totally misses the ideology and goals of Islam.
We are not against genuine refugees. We need to have a compassionate heart. The intentions of these people may be good, but the way they are going about it is wrong.

Silence Is Consent
If we don’t speak out against the ills of our day, we are consenting with them. Not only are many being silent, they are actually rooting for the wrong team.
As Christians we should be concerned for refugees, especially Christian refugees. I ask those involved why they are not as concerned for Christian refugees as they are for Muslim refugees? While Christians in the Middle East, especially Syria, are in much greater danger than the Muslims, very few of them have been allowed into the US.
The refugee program as it stands, with its lack of vetting, is dangerous. To say that coming to our soil is the least effective way to harm us is ludicrous.
There were other things said at the conference at Wheaton.
So, as governments oversee matters of security, we will care for the hurting, calling Christians to embrace refugees through their denomination, congregation, or other nonprofits by providing for immediate and long-term needs, such as housing, food, clothing, employment, English-language classes, and schooling for children.
You will notice that they didn’t say anything about evangelization. These are supposedly Christian organizations. There is a reason for their not evangelizing, they are getting federal grant money.
They say that it is the government’s responsibility to take care of security. They don’t think security is something they should worry about, they should just take care of the hurting.
This is like the head of a household allowing a stranger to come into his house without knowing who he is and saying all I am concerned with is making sure he has food and drink. I don’t need to worry about any harm he may do to my family. How foolish this would be.
The Bible tells us whose responsibility it is to protect our homes:
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: (Luke 11:21)
As husbands and fathers, we have the responsibility of protecting our families. We do need the government to protect us from those things that are outside of our control, but the ultimate responsibility falls upon the father/husband.
Those who are promoting the refugee program are supposed to be Christian leaders. Are they not to be shepherds who protect their flocks? If I knew someone was going to come into my church and do harm, would I not have the obligation to warn others of the danger? It is foolish to say that it is not our problem, we will let the police take care of it.
The job of a shepherd is to protect the flock from the wolves. Listen to what Jesus said about hirelings:
But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. (John 10:12)
The problem we have in too many churches is that the pastors are hirelings. They flee rather than stand up to the wolves. The result is that the sheep get devoured by the wolves.
We are not saying that the goal of every Muslim is to harm us, but we are saying that Islam will devour us if we let it. We cannot give Islam unfettered access in our communities because its goal is to destroy us.
As in all things, we need to follow the money. Let’s look at how money is influencing this whole thing.
World Vision, one of the organizations that sponsored this meeting, is supposed to be a charitable organization. I don’t see how you can call it a charity when it is making money off every refugee. They get money for every refugee they bring in, and for every family member.
We looked at the tax records for World Relief from 2014 and found that they declared over 6 million dollars of income. More than 60% of this money was federal grant money. Also, more than 5 million dollars of this money went for staff salaries. We could find no one on their payroll making less then six figures. Listen to this again, no one we could find on their payroll made less than $100,000 a year. The refugee relief program is a 2 billion dollar industry.
We think that these organizations are Christian charities, doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, but when we look into it, this is not the case. Is the money going to the refugees? NO! It is going into the pockets of the organizations to pay for their structure and staffing.
I don’t have a problem with them getting money, but as soon as they get federal dollars they are prohibited from giving out the Gospel. We are told that it is a violation of the “separation of church and state.” They can’t give out Bibles, they can’t say they are doing what they do in the name of Jesus, and they cannot share the Gospel with them.
While they can’t give them Bibles, they can give them the Qur’an. They can provide all the things they need to worship their god, Allah.
In other articles we have talked about the Muslim doctrine of migration. This doctrine teaches Muslims not to assimilate into the host culture. We give them housing, food, and everything they need to live here, and they build their own Muslim communities like Dearborn MI.
For some reason these supposed Christians don’t get that. They are working toward the destruction of Christianity. We see what has happened in Europe. As Christianity has died, Islam has risen up to take its place.
If you would like to schedule a meeting with Tom you can call him at 1-800-616-0082.
No church is too big or too small.
Whitworth college in Spokane, WA is supposed to be a Christian college even though they have non-Christian faculty and students. They had a presentation about the refugees and they didn’t invite anyone to come and voice their concerns? No, it was led by the global director, the national director, and the local Spokane directors of Global Relief. Of course they gave the same message as we quoted from above. They only spoke about the so-called Christian duty to bring in the refugees and help them. There was nothing said about the dangers or concerns about doing so.
How can they call themselves a Christian charity when they are receiving federal money and making no effort to evangelize those they bring in. I believe that their hands are not clean. What business does a Christian organization have in taking government money to fulfill the Christian duty?
Another example is something that happened at Wheaton Collage. Several weeks ago we covered a story of Larycia Hawkins, an associate professor of political science, at Wheaton who wore a hijab in solidarity with with Muslims. She actually said, on her Facebook page, that Muslims and Christians worship the same god. She was suspended by the president of the college, and he wanted to fire her.
There was a protest and outrage over this. They recently came to an agreement that she will leave the college, and in order to appease the protesters, they are making a scholarship in her name. She has never backed away from her statement that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Here is a quote from an article on the subject:
Even as Hawkins and Ryken came together in Chicago to announce their agreement in person, a demonstration was taking place back on the Wheaton College campus where a group of students and faculty were calling for a nationwide fast to “confess and repent of the sins of racism, sexism and Islamophobia, and recognize that all humans have dignity and are created equal in the eyes of God.”
It seems like they are calling on us to repent for being Islamophobs. Apparently is is a sin to speak the truth concerning Islam.
Would you call Hitler and Nazism evil? If you can’t call this evil, then you are evil yourself. There are things that are evil in our world, and Islam is no different than Nazism. The only difference is that they are doing what they do in the name of a god. If Hitler had done what he did in the name of a god, it would still have been evil. My response is that we need people with the courage to stand up and tell the truth.
What is really sad is that these things are happening at what are supposed to be Christian colleges. They are buying the lie that to say anything negative about Islam is islomophobia. They don’t seem to have a problem with Muslims saying negative things about Christianity. Something is seriously wrong here.
Islam Is A Spiritual Entity
You can be sure that Islam will never submit to Christianity. True Christianity will never submit to Islam. Some so-called Christians will.
We need to understand that Islam is the antichrist religion. We find the word “antichrist” five times in the epistles of John. It is not found anywhere else in the Bible. Each time it is found, it is in the context of denying that Jesus is the Christ. Here is one of the verses:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3)
Islam fulfills this to the ‘T.’ One of the core doctrines of Islam is that Allah has no son. Islam denies both Jesus as the Son of God, and God as the Father. This is what the Bible calls the spirit of antichrist. We should never submit to this.
Islam means submission to Allah, the god of Muhammad, who had no son. Allah is the moon god the Arabs worshiped before Muhammad and Muhammad was told by a spirit that he was the god of heaven, the god who created Adam and Eve. He said that Allah was the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is a deception and we must stand against it.
In Islamic eschatology they believe that Jesus will come back as a prophet and be second in command to the Mahdi, the Islamic messiah. One of the things the Islamic Jesus will do is destroy all of the Jews and Christians.
It should be obvious to all of you that these two spirits cannot get along. Neither can compromise or surrender to the other. Which one will win in the end? We know the end of the story and we know that Jesus is the Christ. He will return and establish the Kingdom of God on earth, and Islam will be destroyed. The Bible makes it very clear that Jesus will fight the Muslim nations on His return.
The bottom line is that Islam cannot be appeased and we cannot surrender to it. We must stand against the spirit of antichrist (Islam) and for the truth of God. We must boldly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Muslims to save them from the darkness of Islam.
Since I am called to reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering (2 Timothy r:2), I rebuke those preachers who are supporting Islam. We must come out from among them and be separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). We must stand on truth
