JW Files Amicus Curiae Brief with U.S. Supreme Court Challenging Constitutionality of Obamacare

Two critical Supreme Court battles loom this spring: Obamacare and illegal immigration. Judicial Watch is smack dab in the middle of the debates.

First, Obamacare:  On February 13, 2012, we filed an amicus curiae brief with the High Court challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare, specifically the "individual mandate." The Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments for the Obamacare case on March 26, 27, and 28, 2012.

We sensed resurgence behind Rick Santorum who communicated conservative values.

CPAC Conference 2012 Brings America's Political Crossroads into Sharp Relief with a rallying cry, "Game On!"  

The ten thousand-plus attendees of CPAC’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. renewed the dedication of many and provided the party’s presidential primary candidates, as well as top political thinkers in the mainstream conservative movement, a platform from which to speak to the nation on the cross roads of our country’s path forward.   

We all saw what happened in 2008 and 2010, where the now bankrupt "community organization" ACORN and its partner in crime, Project Vote, engaged in massive voter registration fraud. (The starting line-up for the Dallas Cowboys registered to vote in Nevada, to give just one absurd example of ACORN's work.)

I am writing to share with you, and I am copying some of our state and federal “representatives,” so that everyone can get a first hand look at how our Government looks at our movement, and what they are intentionally doing, as a government, to stop us. First of all, I know that many Ohio liberty groups have been waiting for months and even years to get their 501(c) 4 corporation applications processed by the IRS. We need to incorporate to protect our groups from liability and 501(c) 4 is the legal category for which our groups best fit, because of the political nature of what we do and it’s nonprofit status. However, the government is not processing our applications which puts our groups at great financial risk until they are approved. As you will see below, this is no accident.
