Detroit Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested nine illegal aliens after responding to a request for assistance near Avon Lake, Ohio. Federal law enforcement officials encountered the subjects as the officers were serving an arrest warrant at a local residence.

San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 66.6 pounds of cocaine, a 2006 Chevrolet and arrested two nationals of Mexico at the traffic checkpoint near Pine Valley, California. The subjects presented themselves for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A search revealed the narcotics inside the vehicle.

USBorder_El_Paso_sectorEl Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens from Mexico near Lordsburg, New Mexico. During processing, one subject admitted to being a Barrio Triste 58 gang member. The other subject admitted to being a Calle 13 gang member. Records checks revealed he also had a criminal history and had previously been removed from the United States.

San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Brown Field, California. During processing, the subject admitted to being a Mara Salvatrucha-13 (MS-13) gang member. Records checks revealed he had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a Mexican national and a United States Citizen (USC) and seized 1,893 pounds of marijuana and a tractor trailer at the checkpoint near Sarita, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the tractor-trailer, and a secondary inspection revealed the marijuana.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens from Mexico and seized 1,661 pounds of marijuana near Why, Arizona. A group of approximately 30 individuals on a mountaintop scattered when agents responded to the area, leaving behind bundles of the marijuana. Agents apprehended two of the aliens in the group.

Yuma Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,349 pounds of marijuana and recovered a 2003 GMC Yukon near Yuma, Arizona. The driver and one other occupant absconded into Mexico. Agents discovered bundles of marijuana inside the vehicle.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized approximately 1,515 pounds of marijuana and Chevrolet Tahoe near Granjeno, Texas. Agents were following a suspicious vehicle when the driver abandoned the vehicle near the river bank and absconded into Mexico.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 6,024 pounds of marijuana from inside a residence in Roma, Texas. Agents responded to a report of a suspicious residence, and an Office of Field Operations canine alerted to the dwelling. The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) task force and Rio Grande City police executed a search warrant, and discovered bundles of marijuana inside the residence.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,603 pounds of marijuana and a Chevrolet Tahoe near Casa Grande, Arizona. An agent responding to activity in the area observed several subjects fleeing from a vehicle. A search revealed several bundles of marijuana inside the vehicle.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Casa Grande, Arizona. Record checks revealed that the subject was a convicted sex offender.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Naco, Arizona. Record checks revealed that the subject was an MS-13 gang member and had been previously removed from the United States.

El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,157 pounds of marijuana and a Chevrolet Silverado near Ocotillo, California. ATV agents responded to activity in the area and encountered an abandoned vehicle. The agents discovered the marijuana in the vehicle.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Ajo, Arizona. Record checks revealed that the subject had been convicted of criminal sex abuse in Illinois and had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a USC and seized 2,914 pounds of marijuana and a tractor-trailer at the checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A secondary inspection revealed bundles of marijuana concealed within pallets of produce.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents assisted the South Texas Narcotic and Specialized Crimes Task Force in the arrest of a USC and the seizure of 27.5 pounds of cocaine, $930,000.00 in cash, and a tractor-trailer at the checkpoint near Sarita, Texas. The Task Force escorted the subject to the checkpoint and non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies in the fuel tank. A search revealed bundles of currency and bundles of cocaine in a compartment inside the fuel tank.

Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,657 pounds of marijuana and recovered a stolen 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe near Ajo, Arizona. Agents were unable to locate the driver, but discovered the marijuana inside the vehicle.
