Proclaiming in a New York Times headline that "Obama Adjusts a Rule Covering Contraceptives," the pro-Obama media tried to dig the President out of the political hole he had jumped into. But calling Obama's revised rule an "adjustment" or an "accommodation" or other soft-sell word can't cover the fact that the revision is essentially the same as the original rule.

Obama Obeys the Feminists Again
Rick Santorum is Right about Women in Combat
Rick Santorum recently observed that President Obama’s decision to move women closer to front line combat positions was wrongheaded because of the “emotions” involved. Santorum made it clear in subsequent comments that he was not talking about the emotions of female soldiers but of male soldiers.
Homosexual Marriage: The Debate
Society is Justified in Regulating Polygamy and Same-Sex Marriages
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The United States government stated recently that it would withhold foreign aid from African nations that do not legalize homosexual marriage, thereby blackmailing African nations that refuse to surrender to western indecencies. A recent headline stated, Hillary Clinton Declares ‘Gay Rights Are Human Rights.’ The article began, “The U.S. has publicly declared it will fight discrimination against gays and lesbians abroad” who wish to marry. The article continued by quoting administration officials who say that the U.S. government will deny foreign aid to poor nations that do not legalize homosexual marriage. Websites that promote homosexual behaviors make similar statements. An example is the main web page of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, which states, “The freedom to choose whether and whom to marry is a fundamental human right.”
Canadian Prime Minister Shills Alberta Oil Sands in China
Canadian Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper is in the midst of an official visit to China.
His mission? To convince Beijing's mandarins to buy Canada's Alberta oil sands hydrocarbon production, now that Republican Congressional overreach has effectively sidelined the Keystone XL pipeline, designed to transit the oil to U.S. Gulf of Mexico refineries, for the foreseeable future.
Harper faces an uphill struggle, as China is questioning the delays in implementing the Northern Gateway pipeline, to transit Alberta's oil to Canada's western coast for transshipment to China.
Totalitarianism and the American Education System
On February 8th, 2012, Bishop McFadden (b. 1947) of the Diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, commented on the demand that all students be taught exactly what the state wants, without exception. He went on to say, “In the totalitarian government, they would love our system. This is what Hitler and Mussolini and all of them tried to establish — a monolith; so all the children would be educated in one set of beliefs and one way of doing things.” Of course the usual suspects, such as the ACLU, immediately attacked Bishop McFadden for making such a comparison. In response the Bishop apologized for offending anyone; but he did not retreat from his point saying:
Pentagon Misplaces Priorities on Women in Land Combat
"The Pentagon has announced a new policy regarding the assignment of women in land combat that does the wrong things for the wrong reasons. Instead of putting the needs of the military first, the Pentagon is taking incremental steps to implement the deeply-flawed recommendations of the Military Leadership Diversity Commission.
"The MLDC, largely composed of equal opportunity experts, has recommended policy changes that would treat the military like just another civilian 'equal opportunity' employer. To advance 'diversity metrics' for female personnel, the commission has recommended policies that weaken or eliminate women's exemptions from assignments in or near direct ground combat battalions. These include 'tip of the spear' Army and Marine infantry battalions and Special Operations Forces.
McCarthy ‘Can’t Answer’ Question on EPA’s Monetary Formula
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Assistant Administrator Gina McCarthy said she “can’t answer” a question on how EPA calculates the monetary value it assigns to each life the agency allegedly extends through regulation.
Asserted Economic Benefits
During a presentation McCarthy gave on Jan. 30 at the Energy, Utility & Environment Conference (EUEC) in Phoenix, Arizona, she presented several estimates of how much money EPA is providing in societal benefits through power plant regulations.
