Even Americans knowledgeable about Europe's growing accommodation to the totalitarian ideology known alternatively as Islamism, jihadism or Islamofascism tend smugly to believe the same thing can't happen here. Think again.

It is a well-chronicled fact that modern academia is no friend of Israel. Even in this generally hostile environment, however, the University of California at Irvine stands in a class of its own.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) maintains more than 150 chapters at colleges across the country, fronting as a cultural and religious organization. Realistically, however, the MSA is a radical political group that was initially founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the godfather of al-Qaeda and Hamas. The purpose of the MSA is to promote jihad in institutions of higher learning.

Governor Paterson Signs Legislation Protecting New Yorkers Against Infringement Of First Amendment Rights By Foreign Libel Judgments Calls upon Federal Government to Protect Writers First Amendment Rights
Governor David A. Paterson today announced that he has signed legislation that offers New Yorkers greater protection against libel judgments in countries whose laws are inconsistent with the freedom of speech granted by the United States Constitution. This bill was prompted by the case of Rachel Ehrenfeld, a New York-based author who was sued for libel by an individual discussed in the author's book about terrorism funding. That lawsuit was brought in England where libel judgments are much easier to obtain than in the United States even though only 23 copies of the book had been sold there.

FrontPageMagazine.com | February 20, 2006 proved to be an eventful day for the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at The Ohio State University. Not only did that date mark the conclusion of their weekend-long Leaders of Tomorrow conference, but that was also the day that their conference sponsor, Kindhearts, was raided by federal law enforcement and closed by order of the Department of the Treasury for financing terrorism, freezing its assets.

The anti-Israel climate at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor shot off the charts this past year with the addition of radical anti-Israel Professor Neve Gordon to the Political Science department. Gordon is a tenured lecturer at Israels Ben Gurion University and a visiting professor at the University of Michigan. He has made a career out of turning out venomous anti-Israel articles and now has turned his Ann Arbor classroom into an anti-Israel indoctrination camp.
