Egypt: Elections and Future of the Muslim Brotherhood

Summary
Egyptian parliamentary elections held April 7-8 attracted scant foreign notice and extremely low voter turnout at home. Unlike in 2005, when it made gains that shocked the Egypt’s ruling party, the opposition Muslim Brotherhood wound up boycotting these elections in the face of a government crackdown. But the state security apparatus cannot be relied on to stem discontent forever, meaning the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategy of patience could eventually pay off.

 
Iranian Missile Site Found

The London based Times reported this morning that new satellite imagery exposed a site where Iran is developing long range ballistic missiles, as shown in photo below.
On February 4, Iran launched a "research rocket" as part of its space program, the Islamic Republic announced. Experts say, however, that the rocket launch was in fact a field test of Shihab-type ballistic missile.

Khaled Mashal has claimed responsibility for numerous Palestinian suicide bomb attacks, which have claimed the lives of numerous Israeli civilians. He brazenly advocates the destruction of the State of Israel and the creation of the Palestinian state in its place.
