A Call to Salafi Groups in Gaza to Join Forces and Confront Hamas
The June 2007 military coup in Gaza honed the differences, and intensified the tension, between Hamas, which is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the jihadi Salafi groups in Gaza, which identify with Al-Qaeda and its goals.(1) The latter groups, which include Jaysh Al-Islam and Fath Al-Islam in Gaza, have persistently called on Hamas to declare Gaza an Islamic emirate, to impose shari'a law fully and exclusively, and to launch a relentless and uncompromising jihad against Israel.

The Saudis are hosting an interfaith conference June 4. Four hundred Islamic scholars from around the world will be there, with one day devoted to interfaith issues. Saudi King Abdullah will open the conference, over which Saudi Shura Council head Saleh bin Huma will preside.

Saudi Human and Women's Rights Activist Wajeha Al-Huwaidar Speaks Out Against Honor Killings
On April 7, 2007, a teenage Yazidi Kurdish girl named Du'a Al-Aswad was stoned to death by a lynch-mob in Iraq, because she had violated her family's honor. A video of the stoning, filmed by the participants themselves using their mobile phones, was posted (link below, extreme graphics of actual event)

The NEFA Foundation has obtained a new interview published by the Islamic Jihad Union (IJU) with “Abdul Gaffar al-Almani”—better known as “Eric B.”, a 20-year old German convert to Islam from Neuenkirchen in Saarland who traveled to Pakistan in 2007 and joined the Islamic Jihad Union (IJU). According to “Abdul Gaffar”, as long as European governments continue to participate in the NATO-led security mission in Afghanistan, “Germany—along with every other nation taking part in the occupation [of Afghanistan]—should expect attacks by Muslims.
