"All mothers should sacrifice their child for Palestine"
Palestinian Authority TV news recently chose to feature a Palestinian mother promoting her son's death as a positive goal.
Upon learning of her son's death in an Israeli air strike, the mother explained that she had always hoped for her son's Shahada - death as a Martyr -- and recommended that other mothers likewise "sacrifice their child for Palestine."

I am very excited to be able to upload the first 9 minutes of a 45 minute German documentary called, 'The Turban and the Swastika'. Over the course of the week I hope to have all 45 minutes uploaded and in a playlist for you all. Think of this as a teaser. It really is a fantastic documentary showing the amazing degree of cooperation and mutual admiration between the Muslims and the Nazis. Much more so than even those of us who are aware of it knew, and this features a lot of rare footage of Hitler and the Grand Mufti. Thank you to a large team of people who have been working for a long time to translate this and time stamp it, and to Henrik R Clausen who did the actual German to English translation.

Australia: Muslim elder calls sentences for convicted jihadists "harsh," warns of "alienation" of Muslim community -
You do the crime, you do the time. Ikebal Patel's objection to that simple concept defies logic. Wouldn't law-abiding, moderate Australian Muslims who denounce "terrorism" want to see this sort of thing prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, rather than making excuses for the perpetrators?

Al Qaeda's ideology is defeated. Didn't you hear? We didn't either, but Newsweek editor Fareed Zakaria insists. The closing lines of his absurdly sub-titled article, "How moderate Muslim leaders waged war on extremists-and won," read:
"Al Qaeda has already lost in the realm of ideology. What remains is the battle to defeat it in the nooks, crannies, and crevices of the real world."
Maybe this is the case in Bizarro World ("Us do opposite of all earthly things!"), but the picture is starkly different here in reality. Unfortunately, to argue that Al Qaeda has already lost in the realm of ideology is not just bizarre, it is dangerous.
