Double success for IRAN
After seven weeks of fierce fighting in Sadr City, in North-East Baghdad, with the Mahdi Army pro Iranian militia, with approximately 1,000 people killed, most of them innocent civilians, more than 2,500 others injured, and after Iraqi PM Nuri al Maliki vowed to uproot the Mahdi Army, a cease fire deal was agreed upon between the Iraqi government and the Shiite cleric Moqtada Sader, the Mahdi Army’s leader, on Saturday 05/10/2008.

After a new modern communication system was stirred up by the Iranian for the sole usage of Hizbullah in Lebanon and the anti-Syrian block in Lebanon, known as the “March 14 Coalition”, claims that Hizbullah is in fact a state within a state, a new crisis breached out in Lebanon.
The Hizbullah, in response, blocked, on Wednesday 05/07/2008, by bulldozer all the accesses to Beirut international airport and announced a general strike. Few men were killed and wounded in exchange of fire and Lebanon plunged to the verge of civil war.

Syrian President Assad: Syria's Contacts with Israel Are Aimed at Establishing Common Ground for Negotiations
In a comprehensive April 27, 2008 interview, Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad told the editor-in-chief of the Qatari daily Al-Watan, Ahmad Ali, that Turkey was mediating contacts between Syria and Israel, and that efforts were being made to establish common ground for future negotiations between the two countries.
