What we were sold was a "New Era of Responsibility" but what we have gotten is Chicago politics, arrogance and ego but little governing. It is another example of what I call "What to do when Representative's become Rulers." My particularly favorite quote about use of Air Force One and travel was the response when questioned about the need for sending Mrs. Obama and the kids to Europe on a second jet (and don't forget that they didn't come home on the big jet either because they stayed for a few extra days); "our daughters haven't been to Europe before and I think it is important that they have that opportunity." Maybe if you had taken them out of school for 2 days you could have all gone on the same plane and saved us 100's of thousands of dollars. I wonder how many of the millions of people currently unemployed have ever been to Europe themselves let alone by the age of 10 and 12 and on a private jet no less. These people are trying to put food on the table, keep their homes from foreclosure and trying to survive with no healthcare. I hope their 2 kids enjoyed the elitist experience. I'm 56 years old and I have never been to Europe. I've also been unemployed for the past 9 months with no prospects in sight, my cobra policy costs me over $1000 per month.
