What about people like us, who have come to the U.S. on H1B's, gone through the proper legal immigration system and process, and are still waiting for our permanent resident status, 10 years later. What about us? We started paying taxes the day we arrived in the U.S. but do not enjoy all of the benefits. There is absolutely no comment in this bill regarding the hundreds of thousands of people waiting in line who have entered this country legally and remain in a legal alient status, and who have spent thousands of dollars to obtain permanent residency.
