Will this bill actually work?

I sure that this bill works for both illegal immigrants having babies here to get benefits, but will this work if an illegal immigrant has a baby by a U.S citizen? Maybe we will see.... - Nina

This will help illegals – their children are being stolen

As it stands right now, the state of Utah steels the children of illegal immigrants when they are departed.

In the article, Gone Baby Gone http://www.cityweekly.net/utah/article-7926-gone-baby-gone.html, Salt Lake City Weekly details the story of how Utah DCFS confiscated an illegal couples child because they were picked up on drug charges.

When the grandmother from Mexico tried to her adopt her grandchild, DCFS blocked her custody rights with the argument the child was a US citizen, and would be better off in the US. DCFS also was able to delay the grandmother's attempts well enough to claim filing deadlines were missed.

Does the bill clearly state people have every legal right to take their children with them when they are deported? I don't know, but I will have to check. The need to make sure state agencies like Utah's Department of Child and Family Services does not have the right to adopt out the child of an illegal aligned without that person's consent because that's what they are doing right now.

Send The Illegals and Their Babies Back

Its about time Congress took up this bill. It is long overdue. It is absurd that just because a baby is born here, they are automatically a citizen, even if both parents are illegal. Also, once that baby is a citizen that entitles that illegal family to claim welfare benefits for that child. It should also be put to a bill that the costs for delivery of that baby should be paid for by the illegal, not American taxpayers. If an illegal gives birth in a US hospital, they should all be deported after giving birth. America cannot afford to pay the medical costs for illegals to drop their anchor babies here. And a child born to an illegal should NEVER be an American citizen. - Americana
