This article is full of rants & raves and the fear factor. I support freedom of speech, but not diarrhea of the mouth. - Lillian

Solzhenitsyn Wept

Thank you Mr. Williams for a an unflinching view of the choices that Americans will face - and rather sooner than anyone might expect.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn, author of the landmark Gulag Archipelago has said that we can tolerate a physical tyranny and still retain some sense of our inner, or spiritual sovereignty. But when we surrender our inmost selves to the lies these totalitarian monsters preach, we can no longer call ourselves human. Solzhenitsyn knew - and lived - what virtually no American understands - yet. He knew the price of moral and spiritual surrender, having seen it first hand in his fellow man, having seen men turn into monsters and animals in the old Soviet gulags. You might want to look up Solzhenitsyn's address to the 1978 graduating class of Harvard - the now-famous speech known as A World Split Apart .

You now have a choice to make and you cannot evade it. As Rand said in her 1941 letter, To All Innocent Fifth Columnists - "There is no personal neutrality in the world today." In other words, you can't sit this one out; you can't choose not to take sides; you can't sit on the fence; you can't pretend to be Switzerland.

So you have but two choices: surrender and submit to Obama and those behind him, or resist by every art, with any means and with every ounce of will and determination that you possess. Atlas must not only shrug - he's going to have to pick up a gun.

And if you think that freedom is passé or over-rated, just wait until you see what your new masters replace it with.
