Gay marriage

You make it sound like church groups are the polar opposite of gay rights groups. Church groups are not the opposite, because pro-gay rights groups are not the opposite of them. Pro gay rights groups have their own vision, and they're making it actualized. Church groups, for some obsessive reason, throw themselves in front of progress, without being asked to do so. In this post 9-11 world, we're free to pursue our own obsessions, and christianity doesn't have anything to do with god, and everything to do a cult in the unity in spirit of hatred towards anything gay. These crazy bigots would vote away oxygen from gay people if they could. They're a disgusting lot! - Flex

100% Correct

I've been arguing that the government should just drop the word marriage for a while now. It just complicates everything. Here's the thing, gay marriage is going to be recognized in the next 20 years. There should really be no doubt about that considering that people 35 and under are pro-gay rights by nearly a 2 to 1 margin. It's people 65 and over who are against it by that same margin. In the next 20 or so years, that 60 age group will be dying off, and their votes won't count for much (Unless you're in Chicago, but Chicago's dead tend to vote for Democrats). Furthermore, religion is losing its grip over the younger generation. The number of people identifying as atheist or agnostic have multiplied over the past two decades, and the number of people who attend church or temple regularly has been going down dramatically. Based on these numbers, it is probably within the best interest of Religious organizations to lobby for the word marriage to be stripped of any civil meaning, and have it revert back to a religious union. - Jon B
