Right-Side you got it wrong! President Elect Barack Obama is not bringing back the draft. Having a CCC is different than having a mandatory draft. Maybe he might have conscription like they do in Britain. Where it is mandatory for any male of age to serve at least 2 years in military service. But that has yet to be established. The last time I heard the "D" word was when Charles Rangel was proposing it. I was a volunteer in Security Forces and Special Operations and I think that has and will continue to serve America and the world well. - SSGT Sheldon "Chip"Rice

I see on these posts everywhere, that people keep saying "This is what Hitler did!!" Brown-shirts!! SS Troopers!!

Uhm... Hitler did have his own security force - true. ( Actually, more than one. ) Unfortunately, for the conspiracy theorists, the comparisons end there. Hitler needed the force to ESTABLISH power. Obama already has that power. Hitler also needed it to challenge the old military elites, who wouldn't follow such a "Austrian corporal"... Obama will be Commander and Chief of all military forces at inauguration and much of the leadership
and soldiers support his views already.

To put it another way, there is no need for "Secret State Police" forces, that this author is suggesting. - wolf

I thought Paul Broun was crazy, but you have him beat by a country mile.

The sad thing is that when George W. Bush was elected, I thought is was a travesty, but I didn't argue that he was a autocrat or imperialist. Yet, now that Obama has been elected, the wackos on the right are calling him a marxist/socialist/Nazi (interesting combo, considering the historical differences between the three).

You don't like Obama - we get it. But, there is no logical reason to believe that he will govern any further to the left than John Kennedy did - and somehow we survived the Kennedy years. We got over it when GWB was elected - you should do the same. - Judd Choate

Thank you,
Someone with an informational opinion.... no fact about Obama and his campaign. I try so hard to convince my fellow young adolescence (I'm in high school) about his "intentions," but they're so caught up in change. They don't understand what the change is for because he never says it. What kind of country are we to elect a president that never gave a solution. Like stated in the following article he has stealthy tatics. He has unconstitutional views. I recently joined the Army and like it stated i want to fight for liberty, freedom, constitution, and a better America. Not Marxism, not my intentions. Well written statement and i stand behind it word for word. - sebastian pailliotet

First of all, the military issue. Every soldier in the armed forces right now made a vow to serve whomever the people of the United States chose as commander-in-chief. They have served Bush through incompetent military decisions and unfair call-ups. Are you suggesting that these patriotic boys, my friends in Iraq and Afghanistan, will now break their oath if Obama was not who they had in mind for president when they signed up?

I'm sorry, but I think the vast majority of Americans are more loyal to their country than you. The vast majority of Americans will not go around libeling the president-elect and practically calling for a second Civil War, which I believe is a form of treason. Did anybody ever teach you about the Civil War - the death and destruction?

If you are truly patriotic, then you believe that this country is bigger than any one man, whether it's Obama, Bush, JFK, Reagan, or even Abraham Lincoln. If you recall, the country survived the assassinations of Lincoln and JFK at the hands of people who thought like the author of this article. The Constitution, which is the essence of this country - the means by which I am sure you wish to outlaw the practice of gay marriage - instructs us as a matter of law to live with the decision of the majority.

If you do not want to live with that decision, and would rather try to sabotage it with irresponsible rhetoric, then maybe you are not as American and Patriotic as you would like to think.

Obama may or may not save the country. I happen to have high hopes that he will at the very least do good things while in office. The bottom line, though, is that if this country is as strong as it is made out to be, then it will carry on not because of or in spite of Obama, but regardless of Obama. - Common Sense

There are too many people around my age, 25, and younger who have no idea about the foundations of capitalism vs. socialism. Obama is an incremental Marxist no matter how you look at it. He is a stealthy, calculating politician who was elected to complete the integration of the New World Order. The decline of the republic is and has been taking place. It is sad to consider, but maybe Karl Marx was right that capitalism is only the stage before socialism. Many people will fight and die in battle as the "progressives" regress our country into a pre 9-11 mentality, and a European pre-Warld War II viewpoint. - Paul
