			<description>It is sad and ironic that candidates who have the ability to help bridge fault lines within American society (and therefore under threat from those who have an interest in maintaining them) must be physically walled off from the people. Obama's election victory speech was masterful, but his talk of unity was undercut by the thick transparent shields between him and the crowds. At some point security can detract from effectiveness and legitimacy. This dichotomy begs consideration. - Ben Postlethwaite</description>
