600 More Days of Obama

E-mail Print

As of May 30, 2011, America has 600 days more of rule by President Barack Hussein Obama.

He is the 44th President and, while we have had incompetent Presidents in the past, we have never had one determined to destroy the nation. It has taken more than two years for most sentient Americans to grasp this extraordinary threat. He has not solved problems. He has exacerbated them.

Support Rep. Allen West for President

E-mail Print

I first lauded Lt. Colonel Allen West in my blog in April of 2010, seven months before his election to the House of Representatives. It was clear then, and clearer now, that this man is the future leadership of America.

Better sooner, than later.

Remember, the most important aspect of the 2012 presidential election, is to unseat Barack Obama from the Oval Office, regardless of who runs. But that won't happen unless the opposition nominates a winner. Rep. Allen West can be that winner.

Obama’s Folly: The Illegal War in Libya

E-mail Print

Well, Qaddafi is still alive and kicking -- and fighting the so-called Libyan “rebels” to a stand still. Some refer to it as a stalemate, others as a quagmire.  No matter what you choose to call it, it is a confounded mess! And it is as embarrassing (as all get out) to the Obama Administration, the political left, the leftist media, and to NATO.

As we have learned, all to often with Obama, rules and regulation -- and much of the US Constitution -- does not apply seem to him and his cohorts.

Obama's next war

E-mail Print

Barack Obama's tenure as Commander-in-Chief has not exactly been characterized by success.  What comes next, however, may make his record to date look like the good old days.

To be sure, on his watch, an extraordinary intelligence-special forces team liquidated Osama bin Laden and drones have dispatched a number of other "high value targets" in what the President calls our "war on al Qaeda."  These are morale-boosting tactical achievements, but in the great scheme of things are more like whack-a-mole than strategic victories.  Much more important is the fact that Mr. Obama is in the process of losing the two wars he inherited, and making a hash-up of the one he initiated in Libya.

Republican Russian Roulette

E-mail Print

I have a friend who thinks the ghost of Bob Dole is stalking the Republican Party and Dole isn’t even dead! What he means, of course, is that, at this point, the present batch of candidates are not that inspiring. The Party needs to articulate a distinct, conservative agenda and have the guts to stick with it.

For the record, Dole ran with President Gerald Ford as his vice presidential choice and together they lost to Jimmy Carter in 1976. Later he ran as the GOP candidate for president in 1996 and lost to Bill Clinton.

Washington Post Whitewashes Obama’s Illegal War

E-mail Print

Always anxious to put the best possible face on the illegal actions of the Obama Administration, the Saturday Washington Post story by David A. Fahrenthold reported that President Obama had “missed a legal deadline” requiring that he obtain congressional approval for U.S. military operations in Libya. The word “missed” implies an oversight or mistake, rather than a deliberate action. Hence, the Post wants to avoid the issue of whether Obama’s unauthorized attack on Libya was an impeachable offense.

There is No Palestine

E-mail Print

Despite a very forthright speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Sunday in which the President stated his “unshakeable” support for Israel and cited evidence of it, the greatest obstacle he must overcome with American Jews in particular and the public in general is a growing distrust of anything he says.

When it comes to the Middle East, Palestine, and the long history of Israel as a nation, past and present, President Obama doesn’t seem to “get it.”
