Does anyone possess a clue as to why our U.S. government spends $12 billion every 30 days in Afghanistan and Iraq while 1.5 million of our citizens remain homeless and 13.4 million American children live in poverty?

“There are 770,000 homeless children enrolled in public education systems,” said a spokesperson at Homeless Support Network. www.homelessus.org

“On any given night there are 100,000 homeless veterans,” said the spokesperson at Homeless Support Network. “At least 3.5 million Americans experience homelessness each year.”

We are not in a war against terror! That’s the most absurd cliché ever invented concerning a deadly threat to America. It is also an omen for certain defeat, because if we haven’t the guts to identify and openly name the arch enemy of freedom, they will win.

“Terror” is a tactic. How can you claim a tactic as an enemy?

The enemy has a face, it has an ideology and it has a goal.  That enemy is Radical (or fundamentalist) Islam.  Why?  Because they — the radical Islamists — have said so.  They have no only said so with their actions, but with their words, written and oral, many of which were uncovered by investigative authorities in hiding places around the world.

In a new revelation in the Panettagate scandal, CIA Director Leon Panetta inserted a tribute in the April 11, 1984, Congressional Record to one of his constituents, Lucy Haessler, calling her a “woman of peace” for her work in the pro-Soviet Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). This is when Panetta was a California Congressman representing Santa Cruz. 

Panetta declared that Haessler participated in “peace conferences” sponsored by the Women’s International Democratic Federation “in France, the Soviet Union, Poland, and East Germany.” One has to wonder about the “peace conferences” being held in such places as the Soviet Union. But Panetta put the tribute in the record without displaying any indication of its Soviet sponsorship or casting doubt on the organization’s commitment to “peace.”

The U.S. federal debt is our nation's greatest strategic weakness. As the debt continues to grow, our military posture around the globe is threatened. Defense cuts are coming, and with that reduction must come a reduced mission. In this environment, what our nation's strategic mission should be, and what the corresponding defense funding should be to meet that need, are open questions. They are questions that need to be openly explored by politicians and the American people alike.

Whether I write about Detroit , Michigan dropping a million people because of the crime, immigration, illiteracy and welfare issues—or I write about our culture and language spiraling into the toilet, year after year, not enough Americans will stand up and speak out.

The immigration issue continues to add 3.1 million people to this country every year, but Americans, much like sheep, watch it continue—without saying a stinking word.  By the time it becomes uncontrollable, we will have lost our national language, culture or way of life.  And, we won’t get it back!

Mexicans on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border are protesting the upcoming execution of a criminal alien rapist and murderer scheduled for July 7, 2011, in Texas.

Because the convicted killer is a Mexican citizen, the Calderon government is questioning the procedures that were utilized in sentencing the death row prisoner, Humberto Leal Garcia. The Mexican ambassador to the United States requested this week that Texas Governor Rick Perry delay the execution until a review is completed of the sentencing procedures.
