Wake Up My Shallow Americans!

E-mail Print PDF

This all started when a Liberal friend of mine confided to me: “You know what’s really wrong with this country? The rich don’t pay their fair share!”. And he said it with such gravitas.

My friend is a smart, hard-working guy and a self-employed businessman – Obama’s favorite Middle Class target. But my friend has been possessed – yes, as if by a demon – by the Far Left/Liberal propaganda.  In fact, this particular propaganda device dates back to Karl Marx. It’s used to incite Class Warfare and to deflect attention away from the actual treachery that is underway.

Celebrate Earth Day, Celebrate Lenin's Birthday

E-mail Print PDF

Earth Day was created on April 22, 1970 on the 100th anniversary of Vladimir Illich Ulianov's (aka Lenin) birthday. And you know who created it? You guessed right!!

A Demotraitor (aka "DemocRat"), of course.  It was created by an exquisitely-dressed leftist by the name of Gaylord Nelson, a "progressive" Demotraitor U.S. Senator for Connecticut.·

Most non-leftist Americans --ignorant as American generally are in terms of history mainly due to the way the Left has corrupted, degraded, corroded and prostituted K-12 government-controlled education-- haven't caught it yet. (Do your job, pass this around!!!)·

Republican Ties to Al-Jazeera Ignite Firestorm

E-mail Print PDF

A blockbuster Politico story on Al-Jazeera claims that the Republican-oriented lobbying firm, Barbour, Griffith & Rogers (BGR), worked on behalf of Qatar, as well as Al-Jazeera. But Loren Monroe, the spokesman for the firm, is denying it, telling AIM, “We did not represent Al-Jazeera.”

The charge that a prominent lobbying firm represented Al-Jazeera is politically explosive not only because of the high-level Republican connections, but because the “Barbour” in BGR is Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, a possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate.

Budget Cuts Are Meaningless Without Fed Transparency

E-mail Print PDF

Congress focused on issues surrounding government spending this week as talk of deficits, the national debt, and the debt limit saturated the airwaves. This is a positive development. In years past, there was very little concern over how much was spent here in Washington, how it was spent, or how much of our gross domestic product was being consumed by government. That blissful ignorance naturally resulted in decades of government spending with impunity, bringing us to where we are today: trillions in debt with astronomical entitlement obligations that will be impossible to fulfill in the not too distant future. So it is a good thing that there is so much political pressure now on our leaders to actually put the brakes on runaway spending.

However, even the most generous estimate of the spending cut passed this week – $38.5 billion – is a paltry 3.5% of the $1.05 trillion in spending through the next 5 months. This hardly makes a dent in our government's mountain of debt. Even worse than that, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) stripped away the accounting sleights of hand and scored it as only $352 million in cuts, which works out to less than half of one percent of spending. Still, the tiniest cut is better than the massive increases we have become accustomed to in federal budgets.

The Detroit tragedy morphing into the American tragedy

E-mail Print PDF

The piece I wrote on the tragedy of Detroit, Michigan originally published on October 5, 2009.  It has circulated around the Internet and over to Europe and Australia for the past two years.

At the time, Detroit had dropped from 1.85 million residents to a paltry 912,000 people. In the Denver Post last week, the U.S. Census report showed that Detroit declined further to 712,000 people.  Unfortunately, an incredible percentage of them live on welfare.  The city has been overrun with legal and illegal immigrants and features 90 percent minorities.

Readers send me letters asking me how we can turn it around.  How do we change Detroit and many other cities inside the USA from suffering the same fate?

Why Aren’t They Talking About A Flat Tax?

E-mail Print PDF
When I turned on my television set yesterday it was with the intention of listening to the President of the United States of America explain how he envisioned all of us as a nation reducing our staggering national deficit.  Instead of a logically thought out plan, we were instead, treated to one of the first presidential campaign speeches of the 2012 race.  The second thing Barack Obama did was obliquely tell more than half of America that his presidency represents only the political “progressives” of our country.

We heard all the one-liners from the Democrat Talking Points paper spewed out once again.  There were “the Bush era tax cuts for the rich.”  There was the hackneyed line that has almost become a Democrat mantra; “the “millionaires and billionaires” should be paying more.  He told us about “the debt he inherited” and how the Republicans are planning to make sure grandma does get her medical care, junior doesn’t go to daycare, Johnny does not have money for college and Popeye will lose his spinach.

Obama Hosts Boss of Terror Channel Al-Jazeera

E-mail Print PDF

President Obama on Thursday hosted Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar , otherwise known as the Boss of Al-Jazeera, for a meeting in the Oval Office. Obama called him “Your Highness” and “His Highness,” even though the Emir dropped his robes of royalty for a business suit. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani financially sponsors Al-Jazeera and its most famous personality, anti-American and anti-Semitic cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has just returned to Egypt from Qatar to supervise the transformation of that one-time U.S. ally into an Islamic state.

In addition to our efforts in Libya ,” Obama said, “we have a strong relationship between our two countries. It is an economic relationship. It is a military relationship. It is a cultural relationship. And obviously, Qatar has done very well under His Highness’s leadership, but his influence extends beyond his borders. And so we’ve had discussions about how we can continue to promote democracy, human rights, increased freedom and reform throughout the Middle East .”
