There is an article entitled: "America Moving from Kingdom of Cash to Socialism Slowly but Surely" we recommend you read. You'll find it on Pravda's site. And, YES, we DID say PRAVDA!
If any organization on the planet should know a socialist state when it sees one, it is Pravda.
So, who, or what, is Pravda? Well, for those you who attended government schools ... Pravda ("Truth") was a leading newspaper of the Soviet Union and an official organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party between 1912 and 1991.
Pravda newspaper was started in 1912 in St. Petersburg. It was converted from a weekly Zvezda. It did not arrive in Moscow until 1918. During the Cold War, Pravda was well known in the West for its pronouncements as the official voice of Soviet Communism. (Similarly Izvestia was the official voice of the Soviet government.)

The terror of ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties and things that go "Bump" in the night hasn't got anything on the real life fright Americans are experiencing nine months into the Obama Administration. One could look at the title of this article and substitute Thanksgiving and/or Christmas too because it is only going to get worse if Obamacare is passed.

Gorky Parks; Lenin Drives: What does Gorky’s Critique of the CP have to say to the era of PC? |

If most people know of Maxim Gorky today it is as Vladimir Lenin's favorite writer; a novelist, playwright, and journalist of such towering reputation that even Joseph Stalin never touched him. But it is forgotten-and deliberately so, buried by the Soviet Communist government-that Gorky, like many Russians on the left in 1917 and early 1918, was horrified by the Bolshevik revolution and became in the early days its most articulate critic. (Oh, and also Moscow's most famous park is named after him, hence Gorky Park.)
Why should this matter to you? Because Gorky's problem is that faced by many today who are from left of center yet disgusted at dominant world views and mistaken policies that claim to be progressive and to serve the interests of the people and social justice.

"Modern Americans have been conditioned to believe that freedom is a function of government, when freedom is in fact the absence of government."
Power and freedom are both quantities that can only co-exist at the individual level. Power at the institutional level is inimical to individual freedom, because power at the institutional level is most commonly represented in the form of control.

You may not have noticed that the Obama Administration, in addition to trying to seize control of the health care and energy sectors, is implementing a national "broadband plan" to redefine the media and transform America's system of government. It's designed, they say, to provide "open government and civic engagement." But it looks increasingly like an excuse for the federal government to control the Internet and access to information and even tell us what is truth.
Norman Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute recently explained at a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) "National Broadband Plan Workshop" that it is necessary to have "a common space with shared facts." Armed with $7.2 billion of "stimulus" money, the federal government is going to provide this.
