In the latest Mad-Magazine-like-Spy-vs.-Spy move, the House Dems have hatched a plan which reminds me of their ill-fated plan to delay seating Senator-elect Scott Brown until they had another ObamaCare vote on the Senate floor.

The Dems backed down. Similarly, they will back down from the Slaughter plan.

Humans are living information machines, receiving input from both external sources as well as the body, processing it in some fashion, and producing output: our thoughts and behavior. From the moment of birth, parents, siblings, and others play pivotal parts in supplying the input and influencing how it is processed.

Diffusing the present dangerous confrontation between Islam and the West demands rational, impartial and cool heads to untangle facts from myth, understand the Muslims' mindset, and redress any grievances on either side.

The word Islam literally means "submission to the will of Allah."  In that regard, a true Muslim has no choice but to do as the Quran dictates.

Left-wing California politicians have been talking about legalizing and taxing marijuana to save the state from bankruptcy. But thanks to the state's most notorious pothead, Pentagon shooter John Patrick Bedell, that vision may now go up in smoke. Bedell's easy access to "medical marijuana" in California is quickly becoming a scandal that threatens the well-funded movement to increase access to the weed by legalizing it statewide-and perhaps nationwide.

Bedell had a doctor's approval to get "medical marijuana" in 2006 and was reported by his father to have a "medicinal marijuana card" when he was declared missing in January of this year.

It's easy enough to be a Democrat. All you have to do is promise the expansion of big government, without actually using those same exact words. And voting to expand their own power base, is something that's up every politician's street. By contrast being a Republican is far trickier, because it often requires politicians to campaign on a platform of giving up their own power. And that is something that politicians may promise, but very rarely do.
