Where's Your Grit? Print E-mail
Written by Paul A. Ibbetson
Saturday, 31 October 2009 10:51

paulpic_bwAmerica, where is your character, your pluck, your grit? If that question seems overly harsh and needlessly aggressive, then you are staring directly at the problem. This nation sits at the precipice of a fundamental, irreversible transformation that will make all too visible a new country that is incontrovertibly "one nation under a spineless, politically correct, brow-beaten, emasculated bunch of sheep." Is that too harsh?

If you believe my words are too offensive, that I should tone it down, possibly give contemplation to all opposing views from every potential angle, if not every position within the cosmos, then, you're actually staring at the real problem.

"The government's War on Poverty has transformed poverty from a short-term misfortune into a career choice." - Harry Browne

A severe outbreak of the H1N1 pandemic could overwhelm internet providers' capacity, according to a report submitted Monday, which called on Department of Homeland Security officials to develop contingency plans to avert such a crisis. "Concerns exist that a more severe pandemic outbreak than 2009's could cause large numbers of people staying home to increase their internet use and overwhelm internet providers' network capacities," according to the report, which was prepared by the US Government Accountability Office.

Victory Rally for McDonnell, Bolling, and Cuccinelli Print E-mail

Noted by national statistics and being the bastion of entrepreneurial mindsets, the Commonwealth of Virginia sets the standard on the conservative surge in American politics today.  The everyday American citizen has become the Howard Beale of the movie Network. We are "Mad as Hell, and We are NOT going to take it anymore!"

We started small, building intensity, growing and surging beyond the local level. Initiated by the Tea Party movement and other grassroots organizations, our energetic momentum quickly became a tsunami of patriots, ready to wash over the country, sweeping away the detritus of Washington D.C. elitists who have forgotten their oaths.

TomFittonWebFrom the Desk of Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton:

Remember the Clinton scandal from the 1990s when the Bill and Hillary shamelessly rented out the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House to top Democratic donors? Well, not to be outdone, it appears President Obama is now offering up the entire White House complex for sale.

This according to The Washington Times:

During his first nine months in office, President Obama has quietly rewarded scores of top Democratic donors with VIP access to the White House, private briefings with administration advisers and invitations to important speeches and town-hall meetings.

Hiking The Death Tax Is An insult To Jack Kemp's Legacy Print E-mail

The Examiner

I had the honor of working with Jack Kemp when he was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Jack was extraordinary.

Yet the Left couldn't abide the idea that a conservative Republican was color-blind. Liberal commentator Mark Shields paid Jack a left-handed compliment when he quipped that as a pro-football quarterback, Jack had "showered with more black men than most Republicans know."

Al Gore was even smarmier in his praise for Jack. In their 1996 Vice Presidential debate, Gore lauded Jack for standing up for civil rights, and got in a dig that suggested the rest of his party could learn from Jack.
