Fitna: The Carrot and the Stick

As we have seen, the reaction to Geert Wilders's film Fitna in the Islamic world has so far been muted, at least compared to Cartoon Rage, Pope Rage, and what the wretched dhimmi governments of Europe were fearing. Aside from the large demonstration in Pakistan on Sunday, there has been little public outrage. However, there has been action: calls by the OIC -- which fall on very receptive ears at the UN -- to outlaw speech that Muslims deem insulting to Islam.

kouri-2.jpgA couple of months ago, when the US Defense Department proclaimed their desire to finally bring war crimes charges against six detainees for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, the goal was to jump-start the Bush Administration's military tribunal mechanism. Sadly, military justice is proving itself to be slower than the snail's pace civilian criminal justice system.

As the proposed trade agreement with Colombia reveals, labor unions are organizations of self-centered greed, which disingenuously cloak themselves with pretense of God, country, and mom's apple pie. President Bush, by calling for Congressional approval of the trade agreement with Colombia, is compelling liberal-progressives to choose between the high-flown, one-world internationalism to which they give lip service and kow-towing to organized labor.
 
Obama's Red Mentor Praised Red Army

Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. “Smash on, victory-eating Red Army,” he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.

 
We can win in Iraq, but will Democrats let us?

The appearance of General Petraeus at various Senate Committees and the testimony he gave about the situation is Iraq was in stark contrast to the questions and comments by Democrat presidential aspirants. The General set the example of what is good about the United States and represented the spirit of thousands of men and women of our military in Iraq fighting for the safety of their country.
