Did you know that over the summer Iran bought one million tons of wheat from the United States?
It's been 27 years since Iran bought grain from us. Iran has suffered a very bad drought which reduced their wheat harvest by a third and forced them to look elsewhere to make up the shortfall.

To say the least, there is quite an ideological and political gulf between John McCain and Barack Obama. So too, is there a great deal of difference between their running mates, Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. On just about every issue examined during this interminably long presidential election cycle the two tickets stand miles apart.

"We American citizens opposed to the visit next week in the US of Iranian madman Ahmadinejad need to mount a SERIOUS, AGGRESSIVE mobilization to support the efforts of US Senator John Barrasso in demanding the State Department deny the Iranian president a visa to enter this country" And just this week, his Parliament has passed measures that would give the death penalty for Christians, Baha'is, Muslim Dissenters for apostasy.

Incredibly, Congress still wants to make dangerous loans.

As the Wall Street meltdown continues, private-sector financial institutions have no choice but to swallow the market's harsh verdict on the past decade's financial engineering. Stunned global investors won't give financial firms any more money, forcing the firms into bankruptcy if they're not lucky, or into the arms of Uncle Sam or of much bigger companies, if they are.
