I struggled with whether or not to discuss this topic. Our Haitian neighbors are suffering tremendously. I am extremely proud and thank God that we, America, were first on the scene, doing what we always do: come to the rescue of people in need. I questioned, "Lloyd, are you making much ado about nothing?" Well, you be the judge.

Va 10th District: Clarke, Fairfax, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Prince William, and Warren Counties

Competition is good, and its time to bring in conservative candidates to challenge the GOP establishment, especially career politicians, including Frank Wolf.  Is Jim Trautz such a candidate?  He needs only 50 more signatures from residents of the 10th district to run against Representative Frank Wolf.  Let's do it! The Grande Ole Party needs to get back to our conservative ideals and to stop compromising them.

Theodore Herzl (in 1900)  and David Ben Gurion (in 1947) did not subordinate their vision and long-term strategy to tenuous demographic constraints:  A Jewish minority of 8% and 33% respectively between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean. Their defiance of odds was responsible for the 1948 establishment of the Jewish State.

In 2010, there is a solid 67% Jewish majority in the combined area of pre-1967 Israel and Judea and Samaria. However, some Israeli politicians employ toxic demographic assets. They inflate the number of Arabs in Judea and Samaria in order to scare the Jewish State into a retreat from a most critical area, historically and security-wise.

Israel, like all democratic countries, and formerly democratic countries (such as the United Socialist States of America), have liberals.  They also have a coterie of not-so-bright members of elite academia, plus leftist members of the press corp.  That is a given. It is a given with which we mightily disagree. But hey, some things we just have to swallow and move on as best we can.

I make an effort to stay up with current news events in Israel on a daily basis.  I'm from the old school where the scholars believe that Israel is the linchpin of humanity on this earth and by keeping a close eye on Israel one can see the future in the making.
