Many nations have been destroyed by foreign invaders ands some empires have self destructed from within. Rome is an example of both and the Soviet Union and Russia are examples of the latter. But no nation in history has yet self destructed because its citizens invited enemies to do the destruction; no nation that is until now when "political correctness" has planted the seeds of self annihilation.

gas_prices.jpgClimate change activists in elected office, lobbying and the media view rising fuel costs as 'the best thing that can possibly happen.'

Has has finally hit $4 a gallon. Most Americans are upset about the cost, but to some journalists, environmental activists and politicians, high gas prices are good news.

Even though the media have complained about “sky-high” gas prices, reporting the pain caused at the pump, they have declared energy conservation the “clear winner” from rising prices and have even called for higher prices to boost the “green” movement, as The New York Times did as early as 2005.

Executive Summary

Political activists and even certain U.S. senators have argued that the federal government should reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine, which would require broadcasters to air both sides of controversial issues. Opponents charge that Fairness Doctrine advocates are trying to reduce the impact of conservative talk radio.

The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government is marching the country into another military confrontation with an Iranian proxy army. As was the case in the last confrontation with an Iranian proxy army two years ago, the country's leaders are fully committed to Israel's strategic defeat in the current one.

No surprise, here’s another example of left-wing liberal media presenting only a selected part of the facts in order to mislead readers, when all of the facts are a matter of public record.

An Associated Press article headlined McClellan to testify before House in CIA leak case includes the following sentence:

tomsegel_b1.jpgHarlingen, Texas, June 9, 2008,:  Back in 1972 when we had the first Arab Oil Embargo.  Gasoline was 36 cents a gallon and the United States was importing almost one-third of its oil from abroad.  We had gas rationing, long lines at the pumps and a public that demanded governmental action.  Congress did nothing to solve the problem.

Suppose that debate over the world's most obsessive issue is based on nonsense. Consider if the policy options of governments, discourse of universities, and rivers of word in the media on this matter are clearly illogical. What if thousands of diplomats, journalists, and professors are racing down the wrong path and billions of dollars are being tossed away in a futile pursuit?

Obamamania is sweeping the world as media types, aging hippies and socialists around the world quiver with delight over their new messiah. Barack Obama finally prevailed over the energizer bunny (Hillary), to win the Democrat nomination for president and a new world is coming. The utopians now have a spokesman and his name is Obama.
