Nicholas Kristof rightly celebrates a new book highlighting the evils of the forced marriages of pre-teen girls to older men. Kristof is also right to reveal the sordid truths about the practice of marrying off pre-teen girls and the abuse they invariably seem to suffer in the arrangement. But one word was conspicuously missing from Kristof's NYT article, that was the word Islam.

Every year at about this time, radical Islamic students-aided by radical anti-Israel professors-hold an event they call "Israel Apartheid Week."  During this week, they try to persuade students on campuses around the world to demonize Israel as an apartheid regime.  Most students seem to ignore the rantings of these extremists, but some naïve students seem to take them seriously.

It seems the liberal left and their lame stream media are working over-time to portray decent, hard-working Americans as "right-wing extremist".  The left is trying to convince themselves and others that if an American is concerned about any aspect of the government or politics they must be dangerous extremists. 

I was there in Washington, D.C. with my dad when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. I was a little boy. Highlights I remember are yellow school buses parked as far as I could see, MLK's speech, and black actress Lena Horne's electrifying one-word speech. Horn approached the podium and simply screamed the word "FREEDOM!" holding it for a long time. The crowd of 250,000 plus went wild with laughter and applause.
