Bet you didn't know George W. and Laura Bush paid a secret visit to the wounded and aggrieved families at Fort Hood, did you? They did. The day after it happened. And stayed for hours.
Fox News reported this briefly. AP covered it with this cursory report:
"The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood's military leaders and hospital staff for the "amazing care they are providing."
No one else did... almost no one. Hillbuzz, a Chicago-based gay political site set up last year to support the presidential candidacy of Hillary Clinton, wrote a "Thank You" to former President George W. Bush and his wife for their visit to the troops. It is inspiring - the kind of thing we should see much more often, frankly. Unlike the contempt and dismissive hatred from the leftist sages of the hypocritical Fourth Estate.

This was classic. About a thousand enthusiastic patriots showed up for our rally in Fort Collins, CO. They loved my performance singing my "Tea Party Anthem" and "2010". Fans of my articles on the internet were also in the crowd. Some drove hours to meet me. I signed numerous autographs and posed for pictures with my patriot brothers and sisters.

Walking the Plank to a Dhimmi Nation
Many Americans proclaim that President Bush successfully protected America from terrorism after September 11, 2001. Even though terrorists did not attack U.S. soil again after 9/11, Bush's policy allowed terrorists to infiltrate and harm America with a strategy that is leading to our self-destruction. Bush's, "war on terror" was based on a premise that defers terrorism to "a few" extremists, not the Islamic doctrine itself. The premise was, and still is, that Islam is somehow reformable after being given a bad reputation.
The Bush dhimmi doctrine endorsed Islam as "peaceful" even though Bush acknowledged that slaughtering and intimidation of non-Muslims had become a global pandemic. This includes good Muslims fighting bad Muslims as in Iraq and Afghanistan. But to protect the lives of American citizens and keep oil flowing into the U.S., Bush dutifully spoke of a peaceful Islam.[1]

"Academic and aristocratic people live in such an uncommon atmosphere that common sense can rarely reach them," said Samuel Butler. For example: US Senator Harry Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, John McCain, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Bill Gates and much of the U.S. Congress.

It seems strange that in today's New York Times article on the Ft. Hood shooter, Army Major Nidal Hasan, Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) president Ingrid Mattson stated, "I don't understand why the Muslim-American community has to take responsibility for him. The Army has had at least as much time and opportunity to form and shape this person as the Muslim community."
Yet this is the same Ingrid Mattson who has repeatedly reinforced the image of the West as colonizers in the Muslim world and defends jihad in articles like "Stopping Oppression: An Islamic Obligation," where fighting oppression defines a "just war," or jihad.
