ICE says the cities are making it hard for federal agents to arrest and deport criminal gang members who are living in the U.S. illegally.
(KFI - Los Angeles) The Assistant Director of Homeland Security for Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday so-called sanctuary city policies have made it difficult for federal agents to arrest and deport criminal gang members who are living in the United States illegally.

On January 28, 2008, President Bush signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (H.R.4986 / Public Law 110-181). This law amended Section 322 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to allow certain eligible children of members of the armed forces to become naturalized U.S. citizens without having to travel to the United States for any part of the naturalization process.

On January 28, 2008, President Bush signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (H.R.4986 / Public Law 110-181) into law. Part of that law is a new section 319(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) which allows certain eligible spouses of members of the U.S. armed forces to naturalize abroad without traveling to the United States for any part of the naturalization process.

The governor of the state of Michoacán expressed confidence that three men arrested last Monday in Apatzingán are the ones responsible for the September 15 bombing in Morelia.  Two video interviews with the accused seem to support his confidence.  In separate tapings of two of those arrested, both Zeta hit men, they describe tossing the grenades into the crowd gathered to celebrate the anniversary of Mexico's independence.
