GOAL

The goal is to unite Americans for the purpose of changing current immigration policies. Most Americans feel that, at least some parts, of The United State’s immigration policies and practices are flawed. We need to send a clear united message to lawmakers and administrators, at every level (federal, state and local) that we expect affective change.

American Patrol Report
This must be one of the worst pieces of reporting by a major network in the history of television. Couric should be fired. " -- Glenn Spencer
[This is our annotated version] -- April 8, 2008 CBS) It had Americans clamoring for a border fence: Mexican nationals storming the border near San Diego, day and night. That was the early 1990s. Today, on that border is double fencing, stadium lighting, surveillance cameras and motion detectors. It's the most heavily fortified five miles of the border - all monitored from a command center near San Diego, CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker reports. "Over the years the San Diego sector has been able to incrementally gain operational control of this area," said Michael Fisher, the San Diego sector's chief patrol agent. Democrats Take Aim at Border Fence
Lou Dobbs Tonight -- CNN -- April 8

Wian: .....They want to stop this fence at all costs, Lou.
Dobbs:Sure they do. And they're doing so because they are basically supporting illegal immigration through amnesty, open borders. And every parent, in my opinion, every parent of children in this country, every grandparent, should be writing to Benny Thompson, the chairman of Homeland Security and telling him exactly what they think, and reminding him and Filner as well, and every one of those other people, and let's put them up on Lou Dobbs Tonight, make sure everybody has got a list of these people, and remind them that that border, that Mexico is still the primary source of methamphetamines entering this country, marijuana, cocaine, and heroin. The Phony Free-Trade Agreement Print E-mail

The White House wants a quick vote in favor of a “U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement,” saying it will help U.S. business, bolster the anti-communist government of Colombia, and deal a setback to the anti-American ruler of Venezuela. The name has been changed from the “U.S. Colombia Free-Trade Agreement.” Whatever they call it, however, a trade agreement isn’t necessary to accomplish any of these worthwhile objectives. In fact, it is a major distraction. We shouldn’t be pretending that we can fight Colombia’s communist drug-dealing terrorists, or Hugo Chavez, with trade agreements.

On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security issued a pair of waivers, allowing the agency to bypass lengthy environmental reviews that would likely delay construction of the border fence. The first waiver deals with 470 miles of so-called "project areas" — or regions of high illegal entry — along the border in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Despite weeklong activity, members of the House of Representatives are still wrangling over the future of various immigration proposals. Efforts to merge the SAVE Act with legislation to increase the caps for H-1B and H-2B guest worker visas into a bi-partisan comprehensive bill have yet to yield a compromise. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus continues to insist that any compromise bill grant amnesty to the more than 13 million illegal aliens currently in the U.S. (Washington Post, April 4, 2008) Meanwhile, a spokesman for House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), insists Republican leaders will not accept amnesty provisions. high and recent reports suggest it is working. On the other hand, the fence near Naco, AZ is only thirteen feet high and reports suggest it is not working.

"The American People need to know just how the DHS makes decisions that on the surface seem totally wrong," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol. Spencer said later today ABP will release a video report on its aerial survey of the El Paso Sector performed last Friday.
