82 Percent of Expected Increase Will Be Attributable to Immigration
One of the primary reasons FAIR was founded in 1979 was to address the harmful impact of rapid U.S. population growth attributable to mass immigration. A report by the Rockefeller Commission in 1972, when the U.S. population stood at about 200 million, concluded that there would be no benefit from further population growth.  (See Videos on the Right)

ACE has been effective in convincing ICE to make serious changes to immigration policy

cantor_headshot_125.jpgRICHMOND, VA- Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) today applauded U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for its response to a letter sent in February by the Alien Criminal Enforcement (ACE) task force. 

The ACE letter called on the Department of Homeland Security to grant county and state prisons access to the ICE database so that they can better identify illegal aliens in their custody.

It was tagged "Amnesty Trail." Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens followed it to "amnesty" in the United States. The Strategic Border Initiative was supposed to plug the hole at the border. Just as we predicted, it failed.

Thousands of Mexican soldiers are being sent to CD. Juarez, after many pleas from the cities Mayor. The Mexican troops are arriving by troop transport C-130 Hercules aircraft, military transport vehicles, gunship helicopters, troop personal carries, pickups and Humvees with mounted .50-caliber machine guns. These convoys are operating throughout the city.

US military forces, and ground forces in particular, have operated at a high pace since the attacks of September 11, 2001, including the support of ongoing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Between 2001 and July 2007, approximately 931,000 US Army and Marine Corps service members deployed for overseas military operations, including about 312,000 National Guard or Reserve members, according to the Department of Defense.
