1) Yesterday (Tues.) Mexico had 34 execution deaths, the most violent episode caused by narcotraffic in 2008. The states of Chihuahua and Sinaloa accounted for 14 executions, while Tamaulipas and Guerrero had two. The nine homicides in Chihuahua brought that state to just five short of 400, all caused by organized crime. Of the nine, six took place in Ciudad Juarez, on the border with the United States.

Border Movie, a MUST SEE
In footage of illegal border crossings and captures by the Border Patrol, BORDER focuses on the staggering number of people brutally victimized while illegally crossing from Mexico. The film includes startling covert thermal imaging footage of drug smugglers, a mere seven yards away from the hidden film crew, moving millions of dollars of drugs across the border into the United States where U.S. National Guard troops were forced to retreat on January 3rd of this year.

Are H-1Bs the Best and Brightest?
New Report Shows That Most Are Not
WASHINGTON -A new report from the Center for Immigration Studies demonstrates that most H-1Bs are ordinary people doing ordinary work, not the geniuses claimed by industry lobbyists. Those arguing for an increase in the number of H-1B visas (ostensibly temporary visas for 'specialty occupations,' many of them in the computer industry) claim that continued U.S. leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics hinges on our ability to import the worlds best engineers and scientists.

Right Side News
Every once in a while an idea comes along that is so retrospectively obvious that one feels a bit foolish for not having thought of it first. Like the Daily Shows original tagline: When news breaks, we fix it. Or registering web domains with the names of Fortune 500 companies back in the mid-90s, then selling them to those companies for a big pile of money. Recently, another such idea has made itself known: the Green Card Day. Green Card Day is a simple concept: on May 5th, mail your Representative and/or Senator a green postcard with a message concerning illegal immigration.
