“Gd said [to Abraham,] “Nonetheless, your wife Sarah will bear you a son and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will fulfill my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.” Genesis 17:19
“And behold! Hashem was standing over him [Jacob], and He said, “I am Hashem, Gd of Abraham... and Gd of Isaac; the ground upon which you are lying, to you will I give it and to your descendants... Behold, I am with you; I will guard you wherever you go, and I will return you to this soil, for I will not forsake you until I will have done what I have spoken about you.” Genesis 28:15
The core principle of Judaism is found in the Torah, the Word of Gd to His Chosen People. “Gd said further to Moses: “So shall you say to the Children of Israel, ‘HaShm the Gd of your forefathers, the Gd of Abraham, the Gd of Isaac, and the Gd of Jacob has dispatched me to you.” Shemot - Exodus 3:15
Our unwavering belief and faith are based in the existence of One Gd, which is the condition sine qua non of who we are, what we stand for, and what we inherit and learn from Jewish sages who throughout millennia have spent and continue to spend their lives studying Gd’s Message, making available the outcome of those studies for generations to come.
There is another principle that runs parallel: the fact that we do not make any representation of Gd under any circumstance -and under no way, shape or form, whatsoever. Judaism does not accept any kind of idolatry.
In principle, there are many requirements to fulfill as Jews. In a nutshell: Follow Gd’s commandments. Keep Kosher. Men are supposed to pray three times a day. In order to have a quorum, a Minyan must be formed by ten men over the age of Bar Mitzvah. There is no proselytism and, unlike all other religions, whoever wants to convert, is given a hard time, no question about that. Another important principle is “tikkun olam” -that makes Jews the light of the world, because it is the Divine duty to help make this a better world. And among the leading principles is also to make sure that the Jewish people are safe -that’s a must, no doubt about it. If one knows someone wants to kill any Jew or Jews, it is imperative to follow the obligation of stopping that danger with urgency and without hesitation. Judaism has 613 mitzvot or commandments.
While women and men are separated at synagogue and at most religious events, women have always had a prominent place in Judaism. After all, it is a Jewish mother that guarantees that her children be born Jewish. And, Jewish history has been marked from the beginning by the decisive role of Matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca, Leah, Rachel.
Compared to other cultures, Jewish women have enjoyed great liberty and esteem, and many have distinguished themselves as prophetesses and leaders in Jewish society. Women such as Myriam, Deborah, Esther, Hannah, Yehudit, Jochebed, Ruth... have played important and decisive roles in the history of Judaism.
But, how are we, Jews, faring in this materialistic, ever-turning-godless-world...?
To put it bluntly, in this time and age, Jews worldwide have resurrected the idea and the notion of the golden calf, maybe not under that shape, but most certainly they have given in to the materialistic renaissance of the golden calf in the shape of power and all symbols that result from it. To give an example, when charity is made, our contemporary “tzadikim” or “righteous” prefer giving charity to larger organizations which will allow them to become members of an unofficial sort of club for all of them to make more business. Thus, giving charity has become a mean to self-service and not a goal to serve people in need...
As far as Israel is concerned, it is a non-religious state.
Roughly, 72% of Israelis are secular. It’s as if though the only time the majority of Jews turn religious in Israel and in the diaspora [outside Israel] is when someone has a Brit Milah, a Bar Mitzvah, or when someone marries or dies. But, besides that, they have no connection to Gd, other than saying B"H or Shabbat shalom.
Why is Gd so important...?
Believing in Gd provides an absolute code of morality. Otherwise, how does one measure whether or not one is a good person or one is doing right -or not...? Indeed, the understanding and acceptance of Gd's existence has direct bearing on how we view morality, because without the notion of Gd, there are no barriers separating right from wrong, as we can see in the many dissolute cities throughout History -where, coincidentally (?), catastrophe seems to have hit in each case, as result of their licentiousness.
Of all entities and creatures in the known Universe, only ‘thinking’ humans are getting in trouble because they are incapable of following “the” order. And time and again, they are being punished for making the wrong choices.
And, whether people are believers or not, the fact is that whenever societies have gone astray, they have been stricken: “... because they turned their back on me, I destroyed their cities...” Suffice to look at History. Destruction has hit when -any- society has become dissolute, amoral. That’s a fact.
Regarding the situation in Israel, simply put, the country got her independence under the rule of a group of a virulent, fascist, anti-religious group of people who were ready to kill Gd-abiding Jews who wanted to live in Israel under the rule of Gd.
One may think that was part of the past.
Unfortunately, devastating news tell us the opposite is true as we learn about the “eviction” program being executed on orders the Sayeret Matkalis Netanyahu-Ehud Barak demolition crews in Israel, who are using IDF soldiers (to work with the enemy of the Jewish people, the Arab Muslims) in order to evict their own defenseless brethren from their homes in the middle of the night in Judea and Samaria, and that total disregard is paid to babies, nursing mothers, children, elderly, and adults -while at the same time, the Netanyahu government remains mum when their leftist friends hurt those same IDF soldiers who are being used as an arm of the anti-Jewish government against the Jewish people in Israel.
One can realize that the main issue is not if Newt Gingrich has any chance of being elected the next President of the United States, even though he made a pertinent point mentioning that the Palestinians are an invented people. That is secondary -as it is the fact that Muslims are aiming for world domination and the annihilation of their tiny neighbor, Israel.
Indeed, all becomes secondary when we are told that in the middle of the night, December 1st, at 3 AM, Israeli and Arab/Muslim demolition crews were sent to Itamar and later on also to other small, hilltop communities in Judea and Samaria. Inhabitants have been thrown out of their beds, out of their homes into the cold night. Residents were expelled after having their telephones confiscated so they couldn't call for help...
And, because Jews should not destroy Synagogues, the fascist, godless Israeli government finds a loophole and pays Arab-Muslims to demolish Synagogues...
At this point, we realize that the most imminent and real enemy of the Jewish people, are their own evil Erev Rav.
These days, as a result of current Israeli policies, Gaza is under rocket attack, and instead of suspending all demolition orders, the barbaric Israeli leadership shows utmost cruelty as their demolition work continues against innocent Jewish civilians in Judea and Samaria.
Three hundred thousand inhabitants of Judea and Samaria should not wait for the evil usurper government to lead in the destruction of the Land of Gd. They should march towards Jerusalem, surround peacefully the Knesset and show the enemies inside and outside that Israel belongs to Gd, not the evil Erev Rav. History teaches lessons and it’s time to show Gd and the world that those lessons have been learned.
Ever since the beginning, the man who turned his eyes towards the Land of Israel to escape what he called, his “sufferings as a Jew in Europe,” was none other than rabid anti-Semite, Theodore Herzl, whose goal was to create a godless country.
The big question is: IF they hated so much Judaism, why would they even think of going to Israel? After all, the bare truth is that “Israel” was mentioned for the first time by Gd in the Torah. Even the word “sion” appears for the first time as a Divine Word, in the same Torah. And Israel is the only country on Earth with Gd given borders.
Netanyahu, Barak, Livni, Lieberman, Meridor, Olmert, George Soros, Rahm Emanuel, and all the infamous gang are succeeding more than Abu Mazen as Palestinian representatives, so why not choose another place to create a different country -totally unrelated to Judaism- in the middle of the Arabian desert?
The pages of History, will show them as the remnant of the Erev Rav, the Fake Jews, the Mixed Multitude, who stand in front of the world to undermine and endanger the lives and existence of the Jewish people, the Children of Gd, just as their ancestors massacred religious Jews in the Altalena affair.
Gd gave Israel, the Land of Milk and Honey, to the righteous Jewish People -not to the corrupt, evil Erev Rav.
