On Friday, July 15, Sheila Jackson Lee stood on the house floor and accused
her fellow Congressmen of being racists.
And . . . they let her get away with it.
Much has been made of this abhorrent and unsubstantiated claim. Conservative
pundits, bloggers and comment-section wingnutz chastised the self-crowned
queen Lee and mocked her: she’s rude, crude and self-involved to a
sociopathic degree; she thinks we landed on Mars rather than the moon, she
called Pepsi racist, Rush racist, and now Congress, too. She’s been
excoriated as the bad guy, and rightfully so because she *is* evil.
But what of those who allowed this, what of the members she accused? 
*If you were falsely accused would you stand silent?*
This was a moment that screamed for a Joe Wilson-like “YOU LIE!”
intervention.
It demanded an Alan West publicly calling out Wasserman-Schultz-like tirade.
Instead, Republicans remained mute, which is exactly what race-baiting
bullies like Lee depend on – the silence of the punching bag lambs.
A week has now passed and sadly, expectedly, no one on the Republican side
has taken to the floor to denounce her totally unfounded allegations.
Someone should have called her out, demanded evidence. Someone should have served
warning to her and the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus, and their
parrots in the media, that from this day forth charges of racism without
proof will no longer be tolerated.
Near the end of her slanderous defamation Jackson Lee falsely stated she
hopes one of her colleagues proves her to be incorrect. She wants nothing
of the kind. This is how Lee and her ilk pervert our justice system. In
the United States the accuser is supposed to be the one who offers proof in
support of allegations. Jackson Lee wishes to reverse this, assigning the
burden of proof of innocence to the accused.
It is a short list, the things you can be called that are worse than racist:
murderer, rapist, child abuser and pedophile. (I would add ‘Kardashian’ to
the list, but maybe that’s just me.) It says you are Neanderthal in
thinking, void of Christianity, prejudiced and ignorant. It is a serious
accusation, one that should not be tolerated without even a scintilla of
proof. It is damaging enough to the cause of liberty that the inciting
leftist media trumpets racism on conservatives while offering no airtime to
opposing voices to counter their falsehoods. It is decidedly unnecessary in
Congress, where our representatives have vocal chords, but seemingly no
backbone.
Jackson Lee’s vitriol is just part of the opening salvo. Make no mistake
about it – the timing of MSNBC’s hiring of the biggest race-baiter in the
country, Al Sharpton, is *not* coincidental. From now until Election Day
2012, the Left’s game plan will be to conceal the epic failure that has been
the Obama presidency, their strategy straight from Alinsky 101: target,
isolate, smear and destroy. Now, more than ever, anyone publicly opposing
Obama will be slandered as racist – IF we allow it.
The media will present the race card in two entirely different fashions. Old
media will use quotes like Lee’s to promote the lie that racism permeates
the Right. New media will use it to point out the desperation of
liberals. But it is not enough for the media to expose dung beetles like Lee
and Sharpton. Conservative politicians have to stand up and make their
voices heard, letting it be known that charges of racism without proof will
no longer be tolerated.
The nation is going to be in danger regardless of the election outcome. If
Obama wins we get four more years of what is, at best, incompetence of
staggering degree and, at worst, a pre-planned financial strategy designed
to create a permanent welfare state and destroy our economy. If he loses
there will be riots in the streets, a post-Rodney King Los Angeles coming
soon to a city near you.
If the race card is not rebuked and revoked, resoundingly, successfully, the
United States, post-November 2012, will be apocalyptic. And fault will lie
with Conservatives as much as any rat that roars from the Left . . .
