For my money, the show stopper at this conference was Trevor Loudon. Trevor has done an amazing job with his Obama Files, currently totaling 111 and counting, exposing all the radical, communist links to our President. Most of the ground-breaking stories put out by Glenn Beck, World Net Daily, Aaron Klein and others have been based on information provided by Trevor, though he gets little credit for it. (also read Part I)
Trevor warned the conference that America is reaching the end of her rope. He said that the entire Leftist agenda is to “weaken your country to the point where your will be unable to defend yourselves.”
“It is not just the economy they are wrecking,” he added. “By underfunding defense while attempting to curtail freedom, and by overwhelming your society with destructive legislation, smothering regulation, bureaucracy and excessive spending, the Left hopes to weaken you to the point where you will be unable to resist your many enemies in the world. This is why I do what I do. Because if America goes down, so does every other freedom-loving country in the world, including my home country of New Zealand.”
Cliff provides so much content in his conferences and publications it is often easy to overlook some of the details. For example, one link embedded in the online Marxism in America brochure reveals that cult leader Jim Jones, who in 1978 orchestrated the mass murder/suicide of 912 members at their compound in Guyana, was a dedicated communist. Prior to this, Jones had been a darling of establishment Democrats, including then First Lady Rosalynn Carter, VP Walter Mondale, HEW Secretary Joseph Califano and numerous senators and congressmen.
What’s more, despite Jones’ murder of visiting Congressman Leo Ryan, three visiting journalists, and one other person, the mass media stridently sought to cover up Jones’ infatuation with communism, especially CBS News Anchor Walter Cronkite who concluded: “…There were doubters who questioned his cures, but to his congregation the power of God was present in Jim Jones.” Such revelations are tremendous history lessons, which concurrently provide profound insight into the malevolent dysfunction of our mass media.
Cliff started and ended the conference with a strident call for resurrection of the Congressional internal security committees, like the House Un-American Activities Committee, that did so much to expose communist subversive activities in the first half of the twentieth century. I can already hear the Leftists squeal “McCarthyism,” even though Senator Joseph McCarthy was never involved with HUAC, and his hearings only concerned Soviet infiltration of U.S. Army facilities, like at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where convicted Soviet atomic spy Julius Rosenberg had formed a spy ring.
Cliff calls these committees the “investigative arm of the American people.” And that is exactly what they are. We have no other recourse. Investigative agencies of the government take their orders from the political regime in power, and have little genuine independent authority.
This became crystal clear to me during my tenure as a law enforcement budget examiner for the White House Office of Management and Budget in the early 1990s. Agencies compete for budget dollars, and plan their initiatives based on their assessment of what most pleases the Appropriations Committees, especially the Chairmen. As I described in a 1995 article (Waco and Ruby Ridge: the Real Story, Washington Times, September 13, 1995), the driving force behind the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms 1993 raid on David Koresh’s Branch Davidian complex in Waco, Texas, was ATF’s effort to gain positive attention from the House and Senate Treasury-Postal Appropriations Subcommittees that oversaw the ATF budget, and the Clinton administration.
The House subcommittee chairman at the time was Steny Hoyer (D-MD), a virulent anti-gunner. Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), also an anti-gunner, chaired the Senate subcommittee. The Clinton administration of course, was notoriously anti-gun. If ATF had merely wanted to question or arrest Koresh, they could have easily done so on one of his regular sojourns into town. Instead they had to make the big splash. It was a tragic, stupid error, driven by the budget process like practically everything in Washington.
Unfortunately, this same analysis extends to national security. When the agencies tasked with investigating subversion and treason are overseen by subversives and traitors, they become miserably ineffective.
For example, Attorney General Eric Holder plainly should have supported the investigation and prosecution of the New Black Panther Party’s voter intimidation case—
a clear example of subversion of the democratic process. But because the Panthers and their radical ilk represent a significant component of President Obama’s base, he instead suppressed investigations.
Similarly, the correspondingly corrupt, destructive and even seditious activities of sitting U.S. Congressmen and Senators have been largely ignored or suppressed because Congress can make it very tough on an agencies that dare to examine its activities. Imagine the FBI attempting to investigate liberal icon Teddy Kennedy for the activities described earlier in this piece.
So it is heartening to see Kincaid and Co. issue a call for Congressional internal security committees. Under conservative Republican leadership we may begin to see the kinds of investigations this country has needed for decades.
And maybe with a new conservative president in 2012, the Justice Department will once again be emboldened to follow up leads exposed by Committee investigations and launch investigations of their own. The radical Left’s entire agenda is criminally corrupt and criminally destructive, and it seems plain that they do not intend to curtail their efforts, regardless the consequences of one election. The only thing that will stop them is jail, and I for one, have been advocating that for decades.
Paul Kengor ended his presentation on a pessimistic note, believing that the war is already lost and the Left has won. However, he added, it is the work of people like Cliff and the other conference participants that allows him to retain a shred of hope for the future.
For his part, Cliff responded that they would be redoubling their efforts through America’s Survival, and that we should all practice PUSH, which stands for Pray Until Something Happens. As Cliff asserts, this is a spiritual battle. We need God’s help and it is there for the asking, but we have to ask. So I will reiterate Cliff’s exhortation. Even if Congress is taken from the Leftists next month, the battle is only just beginning. Let’s all commit right now to redoubling our efforts and PUSH!
