THE GREAT RENEGER - I know I'm coming a little late to this party, but then, I don't spend a lot of time on YouTube. I was e-mailed the link to this one. While I absolutely love the song, I was a tiny bit disenchanted to see the song writer/performer give in to a subtle politically correct pronounciation of the word he otherwise eloquently ascribes to Barack Hussein Obama in his creation "The Great Reneger".

 

You see, the correct way to pronounce it is to rhyme it with "dig". While it is, indeed spelled with an "e" and not an "i", according to the dictionaries and even the online pronunciation sound bites, it does not rhyme with "egg". So, I will bring it up, understanding of course, that I will likely be called racist for simply stating the truth, but I expect little else from those who have nothing better to do than to look for racists under every bush (no pun intended, well perhaps just a tiny one).

Of course, it really shouldn't even be a discussion, the word is quite specifically identified and pronounced in several dictionaries. Of course, we know that had this talented performer actually pronounced it correctly, he would have been blasted by those same ones who will have coronaries over my daring to bring up a word that even just rhymes with the "N" word. So, yes, they will scream racist, regardless of the facts, much like Obama did when he initially accused the Police Officer Crowley of "acting stupidly" for arresting Obama's "bud" Skip Gates (aka Professor Gates) without (admittedly) knowing the facts. Of course, no one called him a racist. Reminds me a bit of that silly child-hood taunt, "It takes one to know one", don't you think?
This minor flaw does not diminish the clever use of the truth to show a lying politician's true colors, he is certainly not niggardly in his use of examples to illustrate the voracity of his tune.
With over 1.8 million views on youtube, it seems this song has struck a cord for truth. One of several original songs and lyrics which promote God, Family and Country, Michael Fischer shines with patriotic zeal while having quite a bit of fun.
It seems that Mr. Obama is finding it terribly difficult to keep his word, of course for some of those broken promises, his own party will pay the ultimate price in the mid-term elections. His job performance ratings are low and going lower with each promise broken, each lie exposed. It was a bit pitiful when the Dems and Obama had to spin one, a single poll, among several polls that showed his numbers had risen from negative double digits to only negative single digit
"The Great Reneger" was written, produced and sung by Michael Fischer.
