[Editor's Note: The following was received as a comment to a RightSideNews.com article, The Media, Extremists and Conspiracies, Part One, and the only editing I've done is to clean up "hasty" typo's. I found it to be written with such obvious passion, simple sincerity and deep patriotism, I felt it needed to be shared on a wider basis.
I'm an Oathkeeper. I served this country for over 20 years. I took my oath to heart, not like the political reps in office who have lied to you and other Americans. Show me in the U.S. Constitution where there is climate change, bailouts, earmarks, a civilian security force better than the military, healthcare, etc. I ask you - can you find it in the U.S. Constitution?
It is all lies from these people in office. Remember Katrina when police and military went house to house to disarm law biding citizens, to force the citizens into the super dome? So I'm "fringe"? I think not! Like I said, I served this country and I have witnessed these issues. I took the oath to the U.S. Constitution to protect and defend it and I will do just that. We {Oathkeepers] are not "militia", we are only here to reach, teach and inspire others to uphold their oath to the U.S. Constitution and that is it.
This country was founded by our forefathers to resist tyranny. I ask you, do you love your freedom and liberty? I'm an American soldier who voluteered to serve the U.S. Constitution and the true American people - - Not progressives or republicans who are the same people. I stand with great American patriots like Washington, Jefferson, Hancock, Paine, etc. As a matter of fact, my ancestor signed the U.S. Constitution, Edward Rutledge from South Carolina. So I do have an interest in this country.
