Sarah Palin Needs to Take A Stand on Border Fence

E-mail Print

PALIN-LARGE-MEXICOI supported Ross Perot back in 1992 because he was a breath of fresh air and I thought that such a solid American would certainly come out strong on illegal immigration. I was patient, thinking that in time he would take a stand. He never did.

Sarah reminds me of Ross Perot; plainspoken, down-to-earth and full of common sense. This time, however, I need to hear about illegal immigration and I need to hear it now.

During the last presidential campaign Palin was interviewed by Univision. She said she favored a path to citizenship for illegal aliens because we can't round up 12 million of them.

However she couched her answers in such a way that left plenty of wiggle room. She could still demand that all illegal aliens return home and apply for legal entry.

As reported by VDare.com, Palin told Rush Limbaugh "We need to listen to the border states where the governors there have some solutions and we need to get serious about that."

Bad Idea. Texas Governor Perry is very soft on illegal immigration and she endorsed him. (See the Education of Sarah Palin). Governor Richardson of New Mexico is part of the Reconquista movement and Gov. Schwarzenegger is "happy" that illegal immigrants have access to health care and education in California.

Before I go down that emotional road with Sarah, I need to know where she is taking us.
