November 13, 2009 - Twenty-Nine Year Old Ferdinand Nickles was arrested at an Apartment Complex in Decatur, GA (DeKalb County) by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force (SERTF) in Atlanta. Nickles was being sought for 1st Degree Murder Charges that stemmed from the murder of Ernest Guidry in Vermilion Parish.
November 13, 2009 - Permian Basin residents can rest a little easier today as one more child predator is sentenced to prison time under the Adam Walsh Act, also known as the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 in which U.S. Marshals have primary investigative authority. Kenneth Daniel Spriggs was sentenced yesterday by Federal District Judge Rob Junell in Midland, to 30 months in custody with the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, to be followed by a term of 20 years of supervised release.
November 13, 2009 - Cathy J. Jones, Acting United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio and Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer, announce the arrest of Lawrence W. Yancey. Yancey, who has an extensive criminal history to include assault, domestic violence, arson, robbery, and drugs is also a convicted sex offender after he was convicted of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
November 13, 2009 - Tim Williams, 23-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service, is sworn in as Director of INTERPOL-United States National Central Bureau (USNCB) by Attorney General Eric Holder today in the Department of Justice's Great Hall.

CLARK CONCERNING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S ANNOUNCEMENT ON GUANTANAMO BAY DETAINEES - The U.S. Marshals Service has been an active participant in the Department of Justice and administration task forces reviewing the Guantanamo Bay detainee cases. Our agency, along with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, has extensive experience managing the security of dangerous defendants and alleged terrorists in the U.S. judicial system and I am confident our high standards of security will meet the challenges posed by this case.
November 13, 2009 - Friday the thirteenth has proved to be a very unlucky day for a Madison County jail escapee and an 18 year old associate. On November 4, 2009, Benjamin Justin Jones escaped as he was being booked into the Madison County on federal charges of providing false information to a United States Forest Service Officer.
November 12, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force caught up with two Louisiana men who escaped from a jail in New Orleans late in October. On October 23 at about 1 a.m., Bryan Dunbar, 35, and Alex Lee, 30 had escaped from a temporary jail facility from Orleans Parish after climbing a fence and escaping on foot.
November 10, 2009 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) recently arrested 25 year old Roberto Ganoa. Ganoa was on the San Antonio Police Department's MOST WANTED list for a homicide he committed in 2006. In 2006 Ganoa was charged with the homicide of his friend after a botched robbery attempt.
November 10, 2009 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested San Antonio Ten Most Wanted 31 year old Lucio Blake last night on Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child charges. This past October multiple law enforcement agencies partnered up to do compliance checks of sex offenders followed by a pre-halloween enforcement sweep for those wanted on sex offenses.
November 10, 2009 - More than 100 pieces of personal property, jewelry, and furs seized from Bernard L. Madoff and his wife, Ruth Madoff, by the United States Marshals Service in New York and Florida will be sold during a live auction in New York City on November 14, 2009.
November 09, 2009 - 15 Most Wanted Fugitive Capture - A violent gang member, on the run since a 2006 Washington State jailbreak, was captured yesterday evening in Manzanillo in the Mexican state of Colima. Aaron Lopez Garcia, 31, was taken into custody by the Colima State Police, with the cooperation of Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the agency's field office in Mexico City.
