The Dark Side of Mexico On The South Side of America

In his groundbreaking book, Wakeup Call from Mexico, Wilson Beck describes how the dark side of Mexico stretches back to the days of the Aztecs when hundreds of thousands of people were sacrificed and eaten each year. He says today many young men in Mexico are enamored with the idea of being descendants of the Aztecs.

Now, according to today's Houston Chronicle, the brutal Zetas, known for beheading and dismembering their enemies, are tightening their grip on an area bordering Southern Texas.

ZetaAztecs"Zeta cells have attacked Mexico towns in platoon-strength numbers; fought hours-long skirmishes with Mexican troops in the streets here and in Monterrey and other cities; massacred hundreds of competitors, often beheading and dismembering them; and assassinated police chiefs and local politicians.

Employing military-style tactics and frightening firepower, the Zetas have transformed Mexican drug trafficking from a law enforcement problem into what seems an invincible criminal insurgency."

Critics say our CIA and State Department are well aware of the dark side of Mexico and regularly brief U.S. presidents on the reality south of the border. Despite this, President Bush and now President Obama have been secretly working to integrate the U.S. and Mexico into a common political and economic unit

"The integration of the United States with Canada and Mexico, long deemed by many as little more than a fanciful "conspiracy theory," was actually an idea promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations and sold to President Bush as a means of increasing commerce and business interests throughout North America, according to a top Canadian businessman.

Thomas d’Aquino, CEO and president of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives – the Canadian counterpart to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – confirmed in an interview recently published in Canada. . ."


    "It is unfortunate that Mexico got off to such a bad start," said Glenn Spencer of the American Patrol Report," but it is wrong to sacrifice the United States of America to correct problems south of the border." He said while Mexicans are being besieged, which is nothing new for them, Americans are being betrayed by a government that refuses to protect them.
