American Border Patrol Appropriators dropped a requirement in the 2010 Homeland Security spending bill to rush the construction of a fence at the Mexican border, disappointing conservatives who pushed the project as a way to slow illegal immigration. The conference report for the $42.8 billion appropriations bill left out language in the Senate's version that required the installation of 700 miles of the border fence by the end of next year. The fence requirement was inserted in July as an amendment sponsored by Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). It was adopted with the support of most GOP senators and 21 Democrats. [...]
"Virtual fencing won't solve the problem and we need a real fence to deter the real problems of illegal immigration, terrorism, drug trafficking and human trafficking," he said. "A strong bipartisan Senate majority voted to finish the fence by the end of 2010 and its very disappointing that Democrat leaders are thwarting the will of the American people behind closed doors." Upon hearing the news of the defeat of the fence, Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol said, "We are gearing up to educate the American People about the border before the 2010 elections." This is news? It's just DeMint's posturing for a possible run at the Presidency in 2012...If he was REALLY tough on illegal immigration, he'd be calling for the return of Interior Enforcement as was attempted for a few weeks under Bush in 2004, then abandoned when La Raza and the ACLU screamed bloody murder because the first ICE raid netted over 400 illegals in Ontario, CA...

Welcome, world! Come on in. American taxpayers would love to hand over our most precious birthright- citizenhip - to you like Halloween candy. And we can't wait to finance your many children's education from kindergarten through college. We also want you to have medical care, food stamps, rent vouchers, welfare aid, translators, driver's licenses, and every benefit available. We also want you to have the right to march in our streets, wave your native flag and demand whatever else we haven't thought to give you. And, of course, the yellow brick road to amnesty and citizenship. Of course, our pro-illegal aliens law makers say they'll run a check on you. Let do a for-instance: Say it takes a month to ascertain who you really are (what with your many aliases). And if we have 20 million, that would take approximately...well, you figure it out.
But we don't mean to be inhumane, so our government will now wave its flag and it's white!

Why, eight years after 9/11, do we not have operational control of our borders? And why should We The People have to wait for our borders and ports to be secured? Congress and the president have a moral and constitutional obligation to use all resources already available to protect the security of the nation and protect us from invasion.
Every public official who enables this invasion from south of the border is just as guilty as those who are here illegally. Neither has any respect for our laws, nor for our citizens. We The People need to clean House and Senate in coming elections, vote them ALL out. www.numbersusa.com
