BreakatWash092009Obama Weakens Border, Interior Enforcement - Large Gaps in Fence - photos

While the debate over health care and Afghanistan engaged Fox News and talk radio, critics claim the Obama administration has been quietly dismantling immigration law enforcement, at the border and in the interior.

On Wednesday Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol was flying the border when he spotted a huge gap in a new fence recently constructed on the border near his Arizona ranch. "The U.S. government dismantled more than 100 feet of brand new fence with no real justification other than to make it easier for Mexicans to get into our country," Spencer said.

At first glance, it appears that the fence was dismantled to allow water to flow along a wash, but Spencer said this is fallacious. "That fence was designed to allow water to flow through, and there was no reason to remove it," he said. Southern Arizona experiences rains during the monsoon season, but rainfall this year was the 11th driest in 114-years. "It is going to cost at least $100,000 to remove and replace this section of the fence, if they ever do replace it." Spencer added. The monsoon season ended in mid September.

Spencer noted other gaps in the fence near his ranch, including one that was used by drug smugglers.

Also on Wednesday, an Obama task force recommended limiting the authority of local government to assist in immigration law enforcement.
"This is what I would call stealth amnesty by attrition," Spencer said.
ABP reports that fence was cut to remove. See ground view. Reliable source said two drug loads came through fence opening last week.  ABP photos below and follow ABP on their website for their daily updates

Our government sucks!
written by Diane, October 04, 2009
Of course the government took down the fence.
It's to allow cheap labor in the U.S. for their stinking multinational friends.
Vote them all out!

It is an abomination that our political leaders have sold-out the American people in the name of cheap labor and potential votes, with the price being the lives of our citizens. Every public official who enables this invasion from south of the border is just as guilty as those who are breaking in. Neither has any respect for our laws, nor for our citizens.

The government has failed to meet the requirements of the Secure Fence Act. Not only that, they misled the American People as to what they have built. Those who come here illegally, steal our IDs and ignore our laws have already demonstrated they lack the honesty and decency to ever become American citizens.

How many American lives will be destroyed before we send men and women to Washington who take seriously their oath to defend this nation? We need to vote out EVERY incumbent politician currently in office, regardless of our political leanings. Until We The People clean House & Senate in coming elections, Americans will remain unprotected from this unwanted invasion of unidentified people from across the world.

It's not about cheap labor
written by matt smith, October 05, 2009
they are not doing it for cheap labor..they are doing it to supplant us and return the country to the mexicans, and they are doing it to get votes when they give them amnesty...the mexican labor in South Carolina makes the same wage as anyone else...the cheap labor tag is not accurate at all. At some point, Americans will figure out the goal of our government is to grow the government and reduce our liberty. The current administration is hell-bent of redistribution of wealth even if you had nothing to do with slavery or immigration and every penny you have was hard-earned...if you are white, successful, conservative, or Christian (or any combination thereof) you are a target.

I feel sorry for those who come here to make a better life for themselves, but our stinking, rotten government should have created a fair, workable system for guest workers a long time ago. Why haven't they? I suspect it is for many reasons; at the behest of large companies wanting cheap labor, to get the hispanic vote, and mosy likely, to create a poorer overall working cla*s. Not only would the cheap labor from Mexico benefit large corporations, but lowering the wages paid to Americans would also benefit them. With this new administration we have in place, we might have but one salvation. THROW THE ROTTEN BUMS OUT!
