Border Patrol agents seized over 3,698 pounds of marijuana, 164 pounds of cocaine, over 30 pounds of methamphetamine and 82 OxyContin tablets. Agents arrested 16 criminal aliens and 7 gang members. There were 8 rocking incidents.

El Centro Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. During processing, agents determined the subject was a member of the Lennox 13 gang. Records checks revealed he had an extensive criminal history, to include convictions for possession of a concealed weapon in vehicle, a violation of the Street Gang Act, and driving under the influence. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.

El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from South Korea at the traffic checkpoint near Alamogordo, New Mexico. During processing, the subject claimed that while in the United States she was forced into prostitution to pay off a smuggling debt. Records checks revealed she was ordered deported in absentia after failing to appear for a deportation hearing.
El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Columbus, New Mexico. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Sureño 13 gang. Records checks revealed the subject had a warrant of arrest for vehicle theft issued in the State of Missouri, and he had been previously removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 27.28 pounds of methamphetamine, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, and arrested a national of Mexico at the traffic checkpoint near Calexico, California. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the front fender of the vehicle. A search revealed 21 cylinder shaped packages of methamphetamine wrapped in cellophane.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 2,170 pounds of marijuana, a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a United States Citizen (USC) at the traffic checkpoint near Kingsville, Texas. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer. A subsequent search revealed 42 bundles of marijuana concealed in boxes and the shotgun concealed under a mattress.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Nogales, Arizona. The subject required medical attention for an injury sustained when he jumped from the fence along the international border, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction for attempted homicide in the State of Utah and had been previously removed from the United States.

Laredo Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Cotulla, Texas. During the arrest, the subject became combative, biting and striking the agents several times. Agents deployed oleoresin capsicum spray and collapsible straight batons to subdue the subject and effect the arrest. Records checks revealed the subject had been previously ordered removed from the United States.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents deployed a controlled tire deflation device (CTDD) in an attempt to stop a vehicle suspected of smuggling narcotics near the Rio Grande River. After striking the CTDD, the vehicle turned around and fled south towards Mexico. The driver of the vehicle attempted to strike an agent, who fired his service weapon at the driver. The vehicle continued south to the Rio Grande River and agents observed three suspects abandon the vehicle and flee into Mexico. Agents recovered 714 pounds of marijuana from the vehicle, which had been reported stolen.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico while assisting local law enforcement officers near Willcox, Arizona. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Sureño 13 gang. Records checks revealed he was the subject of an arrest warrant in the State of Arizona for failure to pay fines associated with disorderly conduct, and had been previously removed from the United States.

Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Naco, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had prior convictions for rape and stalking in the State of Idaho, and had been previously removed from the United States.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested nine illegal aliens and seized a 1995 Mitsubishi near Nogales, Arizona. Agents attempted to perform a vehicle stop when the driver turned around in an attempt to evade agents and struck a Border Patrol vehicle. The driver of the Mitsubishi fled the scene on foot, but was subsequently arrested.

Buffalo Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador at the bus station near Rochester, New York. Records checks revealed the subject had an FBI-issued arrest warrant for bank robbery in the State of Minnesota, and had been previously removed from the United States.
Grand Forks Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico while assisting local law enforcement officers near Valley City, North Dakota. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, including convictions for alien smuggling and assault on a federal officer. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.
Houlton Sector - Border Patrol agents reported that a Border Patrol canine alerted to the bumper of a vehicle in the secondary inspection lanes at the Fort Fairfield, Maine Port of Entry. A subsequent search revealed 2,100 methamphetamine pills and 82 OxyContin tablets concealed in bottles.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 164 pounds of cocaine, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a national of Mexico at the traffic checkpoint in Falfurrias, Texas. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the tractor. A search revealed the cocaine concealed in a false compartment in the rear wall of the tractor's sleeper.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Nogales, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was a registered sex offender and had a prior conviction for annoying/molesting children in the State of California. He had also been previously removed from the United States.
