on the 220th Anniversary of the U.S. Marshals - To the men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service: Today, I share your pride as we celebrate 220 years of rich history as our nation's oldest federal law enforcement agency - a history that began on this date in 1789, when President George Washington signed the Judiciary Act and established the original 13 Marshals for the states. September 24, 2009 - Forty-Nine Year Old Norman Roberts was arrested by US Marshals with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston at 4:00 p.m. today. Roberts was Wanted by Louisiana's Office of Probation and Parole for violating his conditions of parole. Roberts' Warrant was dated November 8, 2004. Norman Roberts caused a vehicle accident on Hwy. 90 on April 24, 2003 that resulted in two deaths.

September 22, 2009 - After sixteen months on the run, a man wanted by the Evans County Sheriff's Department in Claxton, Georgia has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals South Carolina Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force in Bishopville, South Carolina. Roger Terrell Wilkes, 21, was being sought a state warrant for Failure to Appear.

September 21, 2009 - A Savannah man wanted by the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) was arrested by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, SCMPD K-9, SCMPD Detectives, Savannah Impact Officers, and SCMPD Trap Officers in Savannah, Georgia. September 21, 2009 - A Savannah man listed as number two on the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department's (SCMPD) Most Wanted list was arrested by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, SCMPD K-9, SCMPD Detectives, Savannah Impact Officers, and SCMPD Trap Officers in Savannah, Georgia. Lenard Kearse, 21, was being sought a state warrants for Aggravated Assault and a violent carjacking. Press Release

September 21, 2009 - On September 17, 2009, Keith A. McGarry (41 years of age) and Jeremy Estes (37 years of age) were indicted in the Western District of Arkansas on federal charges related to the receipt and possession of sexually explicit materials involving children. Press Release
