Turns 9/11 Attack Anniversary Into 'Interfaith Day Of Service'
President Obama appears to be continuing his apology tour and is pandering to Islamic nations by supplanting our history's transcript of what happened to the 9/11 victims and their families. President Obama seems to infer that U.S. citizens should make amends for something that was done to us.
Tomorrow, eight years after radical Islamists attacked America and destroyed the World Trade Center, killed more than 3,000 Americans, attacked the Pentagon and tried to fly an airliner into the White House, President Obama has decided to turn the 9/11 tragedy into an "Interfaith Day Of Service."
The official title of the day is now the "National Day of Service and Remembrance." It seems that President Obama is continuing his apology tour and is pandering to Islamic nations by supplanting our history's transcript of what happened to the 9/11 victims and their families. President Obama seems to infer that U.S. citizens should make amends for something that was done to us.
The State Department has issued a memo to all of its embassies around the world to convert 9/11 into a day of interfaith cooperation and service.
The memo, says in part:
President Obama called for interfaith service to foster collaboration between people across the world in his Cairo speech: "Indeed, faith should bring us together. And that's why we're forging service projects in America to bring together Christians, Muslims, and Jews. Around the world, we can turn dialogue into interfaith service, so bridges between peoples lead to action -- whether it is combating malaria in Africa, or promoting relief after a natural disaster."
Interfaith service has been an inextricable part of Americans' dedication to serving others, which as early as 1831 was identified as a distinctive American characteristic by Frenchman Alexis de Tocqueville. In State 77580 [memo], Secretary Clinton specifically encouraged Department of State employees to support President Obama's domestic United We Serve campaign that embraces this tradition of community service. By participating in an Interfaith Day of Service, posts have the unique opportunity to expand the domestic commemoration of 9/11 as the National Day of Service and Remembrance -- as signed into law by President Obama on April 21, 2009 -- into a global initiative.
The memo also suggests that embassy personnel:
-
Organize a food-drive for the end of Ramadan with religious leaders and citizens in Muslim communities to donate to a local mosque or community, such as this activity in Dubai in 2008:
-
Partner with universities or secondary schools to organize a day of awareness-raising, school clean-up, park rehabilitation, or a donation drive that includes students from different faith traditions.
-
Work with the Red Cross/Red Crescent or a local hospital to promote the giving of blood and partner with different religious leaders to involve their congregations.
-
Organize a free music workshop for a neighborhood where musicians from different faiths can share their traditions. This event could be a good way to promote a longer term arts education project, for example. - Set up an interfaith sports competition for youth that includes interfaith teams and incorporates skill-building activities.
-
Organize a writing competition at a local school on respect for people of all faiths.
Instead of mourning the deaths of more than 3,000 innocent Americans who were victims of Islamic terrorism, President Obama has decided to desecrate this tragedy by turning U.S. Embassy workers into community organizers for Muslims. Food drives for mosques? Picking up trash in parks? Music workshops? Cooperation with the Red Crescent? This is an obscene reaction to the horrific attack on America on September 11, 2001.
President Obama's bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia and his belief that one of the prettiest sounds in the world is the Muslim call to worship, speaks volumes about where his loyalties lie. Now, he's destroying a day of mourning for the victims of 9/11 by turning into a community work project for Muslims. How dare he do such a thing! How dare he desecrate the memories of these victims of Islamic cruelty! Words cannot express how outraged I am by what he has done - and is doing to our nation. Nothing appears sacred to him except Islam and the undermining of our nation.
