- 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals Service announced today the addition of a Memphis man, who is wanted in Tennessee for first-degree murder and criminal attempt first-degree murder, to its list of 15 Most Wanted fugitives. Robert Lee King, 45, allegedly murdered his girlfriend and attempted to murder her 20-year-old daughter.king.jpg
May 29, 2009 - The United States Marshals have arrested a female subject who was wanted for a homicide in Chester, PA. Danya A. Johnson, 34 of Wilmington was wanted for a homicide that occurred on January 2, 2009 at approximately 3:30 pm.  

May 22, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested three wanted felons within 12 hours of each other, all being sought on shooting charges including one from Seattle, Washington.   

May 21, 2009 - Cuyahoga County Sheriff Robert Reid, Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath and U.S. Marshal Peter Elliott announce the arrest of violent fugitive Osvaldo Ortiz. Ortiz was apprehended as he de-boarded a plane at JFK International Airport in New York. Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, made famous in the current A&E television series Manhunters, acted swiftly on information provided to them this morning by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in an effort to arrest Ortiz.   

May 20, 2009 - Tallahassee, FL - The U.S. Marshal's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, along with patrol and K-9 units from the Tallahassee Police Department, responded to an urgent Crime Stoppers tip early this morning which resulted in the arrest of one of Tallahassee's most wanted men. Ion Cloud, nineteen years of age, had been the target of a multi-agency manhunt since the Leon County Sheriff's Office identified Cloud as a subject of interest in the Circle K / McDonalds shooting that occurred at 811 Lake Bradford Road in the early morning hours of March 29, 2009. Task Force members and Tallahassee Police Department patrol units responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Alabama Street in Tallahassee where Cloud was found asleep in a bed with a female. He was immediately arrested without incident. The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force had been looking for Cloud since April 8 on outstanding warrants for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (3 counts) from a separate incident involving Cloud which occurred in December 2008.

Cloud's arrest came mere hours after the new release of a collaborative effort between the Tallahassee Democrat and the U.S. Marshals in which violent wanted felons are profiled in a special section of the online version of the Tallahassee Democrat. Cloud was one of the fugitives featured this morning on this website. The website provides photographs and information on some of the most violent offenders being sought by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force which have been submitted by the participating local law enforcement agencies. The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force is spearheaded by the U.S. Marshals and is comprised of the Tallahassee Police Department, the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, and the State Attorney's Office.
