On Monday, April 27th, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. the United States Marshals Service Gang Resistance and Education Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program will hold a graduation for two sixth grade classes of forty seven students. The graduation will take place at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School for Science and Technology, located at 1617 Caffin Avenue New Orleans, Louisiana. The attending students successfully completed a thirteen lesson G.R.E.A.T. curriculum instructed by Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the Eastern District of Louisiana.

April 24, 2009 - A man wanted for murder in Palm Beach County, Florida was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) based in Roanoke and the Martinsville Police Department yesterday evening. Michael S. Marquardt, age 38, formerly of Boynton Beach was wanted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for First Degree Murder with a Firearm, Armed Robbery and Accessory After the Fact.
April 22, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Service and the Washington County Sheriff's Office announce the arrest of Donna Wilson Hanna, age 47. Hanna was arrested on federal charges of Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution, which is directly associated with Hanna's State charges of Interference with Custody, a class D Felony in Arkansas. At the time of arrest, Hanna's daughter was placed in the custody of a court appointed attorney. Hanna had been on the run since March 29, 2009, when she fled Arkansas with her daughter.
April 22, 2009 - While executing a search warrant investigators and Deputy U.S. Marshals recovered a fully-loaded automatic rifle, numerous rounds of ammunition and other loaded hand guns from the hotel room of the murder suspect they apprehended yesterday after having to shoot him, according to the Marshals Office in Florida's Middle District.
April 21, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Western Arkansas Sex Offender and Violent Crime Task Force, announce the arrest of Jason Foerster, age 34. On April 20, 2009, Investigators with the Task Force received a tip indicating Foerster, who was wanted for a Federal Parole Violation resulting in a recent arrest by the Fort Smith Police Department. On March 14, 2009 Foerster was arrested by the Fort Smith Police Department and charged with Robbery, Fleeing, Loitering and Carrying a Weapon.
April 21, 2009 - Thomas Ford McCoy wanted in connection for the murder of a DeFuniak Springs man less than two weeks ago was apprehended earlier today by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force when he was shot by a Deputy after McCoy pulled a gun on task force officers.
April 18, 2009- The Converse County Sheriff's Office operating with assistance from the Douglas Police Department arrested federal fugitive Jeffery Doles at the Plains Motel in Douglas, Wyo., Friday, April 17. Doles was sentenced in federal court in 2007 for possession of narcotics equipment. However, when he failed to appear at the designated facility to begin serving his sentence, a warrant was issued for contempt of court and failure to self surrender.
April 17, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Western Arkansas Sex Offender and Violent Crime Task Force, announce the arrest of Rex Ellis Allen, age 49. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on April 16, 2009, Investigators with the Task Force developed information indicating Allen, who was wanted for Parole Violations - Petition to Revoke his Suspended Sentence and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, was in Mountainburg, Arkansas.
