The Right Life for the Last Days Pt 2

ray_sm.jpgMarch 28,2009
Quote Scripture and You Are an Extremist

By Ray Gano In the first of my series "The Right Life For the Last Days." I talked about the excuses the world gives in calling themselves Christian.  (see Part I)

In this article I want to focus in a little closer to home.

Recently I have been mulling over the following verses.

1Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Matthew 7:14 (KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

But the verses that have really been hanging in my ears is 2 Timothy 3:1-7

2 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Do you know that it is the rebellious church and to the Christians that Paul was talking to here?

We as students of bible prophecy know that in the last days there will be a great falling away.

But one would never even know it based on all the people who claim the title of Christian today.  They are no where close to living for our risen Lord much less giving Him the respect He deserves. They do not bear His fruit.

Instead we live in our wicked worldly ways and slap the name Christian on it to justify ourselves in our wallowing of the flesh.

Here is what the Scriptures say...

John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Mark 12:30 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Joshua 22:5 (KJV) But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Thing is that there are a lot of people out there who are living the life of the natural man and are not born again. They claim the title, but still living a life of sin and making excuses for it.

These last few weeks I have gotten some pretty interesting emails from people defending themselves for standing in the world. They were upset about the first article I wrote in this series.

Here is the funny thing, when I presented scripture to them; it seems to go in one ear and out the other as if the bible never existed.

I mean a child can understand Romans 12:2 telling us "be not conformed to this world." Folks, I would even define the word conformed for them.

I get excuses and hateful replies back calling me legalistic, Pharisee, and here is the new one... extremist. How about that?

In today's world of one Christian talking to another, if you quote scripture one is now an extremist.

Interesting to say the least...

Here is what God's word says...

2Timothy 3:16 (KJV)  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The problem is one or the other, either one is unsaved and not a child of God; or one is in rebellion not serving the Lord.

Here is something interesting. Do you know that in the bible it makes clear that we are either a Child of God or the child of the devil?

Read the following words of Jesus himself...

John 8:44 (KJV)  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Lets back up a bit here...

John 8:42 (KJV) Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Jesus stated that if God is your father, you would love him. How many of you love your husband or wife and serve them diligently out of love?

What about this?

John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

How many out there are keeping to God's word and keeping to His commandments?

How many out there are making excuses to live in the flesh by slapping the name Christian on it or some other means to sugar coat the world?

How many out there don't even understand what it is I am saying here and haven't even a clue?

John 8:43 (KJV)  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

1Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but by many of our actions, we mock what He did and take it for granted.

I honestly don't believe there are many true bible believing Christians out there. Why do I say that?

Matthew 7:14 (KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Did you read that last line? "And few there be that find it."

That means that there are few of us who are true bible believing Christians and few who will find the strait and narrow way of the Lord.

Even The Barna Group supports that ...

"Citing the findings from a just-completed national survey of 2033 adults that showed only 4% of adults have a biblical worldview as the basis of their decision-making, researcher George Barna described the outcome."(1)

That means that 96% do not have a biblical world view.

Think about it for a second, how many people out there claim to be Christians?

The real question is how many people truly are Christians?

Acording to Barna, only four percent (4%)

Starting to see the picture?

Do you know that a good majority of people who claim to be a Christian can't tell you the day when they were saved by grace and atoned by the blood of Jesus Christ for their sins?

How many out there know and remember the day they got married?

How about when your first child was born?

How about your first new car or the day you got your drivers license?

I bet most of you can remember all of these even down to the day, year and some of you, even the very minute.

But here is a question for you.

How many of you can remember when you turned your life over to Jesus Christ admitting you were a sinner in need of a savior?

I am not talking about you raising your hand in church or checking a box on a card. I am talking about humbling yourself before Him and submitting to Him.

If you can remember this, that is good.

If you can't, then there might be a problem. You see, the day you were admitted into heaven should be the most important day of your life, not just a blur.

I still can see myself praying at the front of the church when I was young. I was wearing a rust colored suit my parents bought me and I remember I was crying because I realized the bad things I have done in my life. I wanted Jesus in my life so that one day I would go to heaven. This memory is so clear that I can see it in 3-D Technicolor, 70 mm dolby stereo.

For Tracye it is so clear that she knows the exact year, month, day and minute when she turned her life over to the Lord. It was that much of a life changing event for her.

You see we burn into our memories important events in our life. Coming to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is one of those moments. You are humbled and realize you are a sinner in need of a savior. It is the day you give your life to Him, never turning back.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that if you can't remember that event in your life, odds are that you never did it.

If you have never humbled yourself before the Lord and turn your life over to Him 100%, odds are that you are one of those who are playing the "Lip Service Christian Game" and in truth a child of the devil, who is lost and going to hell.

The sad issue is there are many out there who think they are saved, but they are not according to the scriptures. All they have done is given lip service to the title Christian. Just raised a hand or checked a box, nothing more.

When you turn your life over to Him 100% you shy away from the world and her ways, you don't make excuses to stay in it. You are born anew.

If you are washed in the blood, you understand the spiritual things that scripture speaks about and if you don't, the Holy Spirit illuminates the scripture for you so that you can understand.

If you are washed in the blood born again Christian, you love His word and abide by his commandments. You don't make excuses using pet verses taken out of context such as "don't judge" or "saved by grace."

If you do make excuses for your pet sins and living one foot in the world, then I ask

Do you know who you serve?

You see Jesus was talking to those pious "religious" folks when he said that they serve their father the devil.

Are you living a false pious religious life where in reality you are of the world?

But here is something worse.

If you are making excuses and are saved, you are in rebellion.

1Samuel 15:23 (KJV)  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Exodus 22:18 (KJV)  Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. The act of witchcraft is pure selfishness. "I will get what I want, when I want and I spit in God's face for not allowing me my wishes."

You do not have to be a witch to practice this form of selfishness either. All you have to be is rebellious.

Do you in anyway manifest the following?

Galatians 5:19-21(KJV)  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

This is what the flesh, or what the corrupt and unrenewed human nature produces. If these fruits are in your life, there are good chances you are not born again.

Here is how Webster's dictionary defines unrenewed...

1. Not made anew; as, the lease is unrenewed.

2. Not regenerated; not born of the Spirit; as a heart unrenewed.

Did you catch that last part of Galatians 5:21? According to the scriptures, you will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Folks, we are living in the last days of the last days. Christ could return at any moment. My burden is for those who are living one foot in the world and one foot in the church. In this, you are not living for the Lord at all nor have you submitted to Him.

You need to ask yourself deep in your heart the following question...

Who Do You Serve?

Jesus stated the following...

John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If you do not have Christ in your life, you will spend eternity in hell. This is a fact. It does not matter if you believe this or not, it is the truth spoken by Jesus himself. If your name is not written in the Lambs Book of Life you will go to hell for what you have not done and that is accepting Christ as your personal savior. To be placed in the Lamb Book of Life, you need to turn your life completely over to Him. Having "head" knowledge or "just believing in Christ" is not the same as having "heart" knowledge with Christ living in your heart.  We know that even the devils believe in Him, where are they spending eternity?

James 2:19 (KJV)  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

We work hard at Prophezine to show that Bible Prophecy is coming to pass. Because of this fact, the Bible is true. Since the Bible is the true and inerrant word of God, there is a heaven and there is a hell.

If you claim the title of "Christian" then take account of yourself this day. Many claim the title, but we read in God's Word that the title does not get you into heaven.

Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Who you serve will determine where you will spend eternity. If you are not serving Christ and a true child of God, then you are serving Satan and a child of the enemy.

If you are not 110% sure, then take account of yourself, your very life depends upon it.

1John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
